I suggest you try yourself sending an email to energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com
If you had then you might realise all they send back are automated replies!.

Getting an automated reply does not mean the email has not been received. On the contrary, the automated reply proves the email was received. ;)

Just for the record, I joined the Energy Saving Club in February 2013 and have not received any cold calls about energy saving devices.
Did have one from a very foreign sounding "Andy" from PC Technical Support saying my computer had a virus. Dragged it out for over 20 minutes before I was bored and told him I knew he was a scammer and I was just wasting his time. He hung up without even saying goodbye. :)

Many of you have hurried to defend and state that it is a coincidence then go on to say you have not even signed up for the Cheap Energy Club!

I have signed up to the Cheap Energy Club early on and haven't received any nuisance calls.

MSE Kalah was kind enough to clarify that they do not pass on your details for marketing purposes. I am surprised you can't accept this to be correct.

You seem to want to persist with your unsubstantiated allegation without any meaningful evidence to back it up.

SunRay I joined the Energy Savings Club and have not received any phone calls from anyone. My phone number is unlisted and I am registered with TPS.

I do get strange emails and have deduced thatese have come from COOKIES and tracking whatever it is on my computer. I keep my computer clean and do a cookie crunch every couple of days, now I do it every day.

Since removing RAPPORT from my computer I am not getting any spam emails..

This might be another avenue to look at for the source of the nuisance phone calls.

Cardew, because I do not agree that these unsolicited calls are coincidence then you presume I think they lie?
What a very childish attitude.

Despite MSE Kalah's efforts to assist, which really just amounted to a predictable denial, my fundamental concern has not been addressed.

Firstly the Terms and conditions of the Energy Saving Club specifically state they do not pass on personal details.

After your accusation that they are selling details, a MSE Representative(Kalah) posts to confirm that they do not pass on details.

Yet despite that assurance you still continue to assert that MSE are selling your details.

Therefore you are clearly accusing MSE Kalah of lying. What other term would you use?

I appreciate that Battleaxe44 and others that have similar experience.
I am sure there are many who have joined the Cheap Energy Club and not had any calls, but something has occurred to me, in my opinion, much more than coincidence.

Since joining the Energy Saving Club (17th July, 11 days ago) I started to get these unsolicited calls up to 3 times a day.

Previous to joining the Energy Saving Club and since joining the TPS many years ago I have received no unsolicited sales calls, or bogus surveys. (Apart from Indian scammers occasionally).

All of the unsolicited harassing calls so far have been concerning energy saving products.

I am very careful who I give my private and personal details to. I can list the company’s on one hand that I have given these to. I have used these for many years and until now have no reason to suspect them.

Coincidence or not everybody is free to form their own opinion, despite what some of the nastier users here seem to think, with their impolite, pedantic, childish, inappropriate and possibly even libolus comments.
I’m not calling anybody a liar, just because they don’t agree with me, and honestly I find those comments offensive and puerile.
Please refrain from making personal attacks on my character.

Of course I have no firm evidence to back up my assumptions, and that’s all they are.
I acknowledge that MSE Kalah has made a denial and in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the Energy Saving Club, but no effort to has been made to address my simple request.

Without hijacking this thread Richie, what does your post mean? Is this a reference to Rapport, or have I misunderstood something?

I was just posting that it could be a tracker from another site causing the information leak.

I thought everyone's phone number for online forms was 0111 123456 or is that just me?
