  • Sad news as I return to reading OS after a break. Squeaky has felt like an essential feature on this board, so I will miss reading his posts very much.
He left a fabulous legacy with the OS Index.

RIP Squeaky and my condolences to his family and friends xx

So shocked to hear this news! Sadly I don't venture onto here as often as I used to due to work commitments.

RIP squeaky, you'll be missed x

Thank you Squeaky. Also haven't been on here that regularly but could always find my way around thanks to his helpful posts. RIP.

I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...

I moved to Liverpool for a better life.

Many thanks to Apprentice Tycoon for letting me know about Squeaky's passing.

We used to have a lot of fun putting the world to rights and even communicated outside of MSE. He was a lovely man, not a well man, and a man that struggled to make ends meet so much like so many of us. He'd often share his stories and baking and cooking tips and hints and I know he used to struggle up to his local Co-op and make do with whatever they had on sale there.

Squeaky could be a bit grumpy at times and would have a few run-ins with others. But he never sulked for long and was always a good friend and a massive support.

I'll remember him with smiles and I'll dust off the Be-Ro cook book and make something in his memory.

Rest in peace, Squeaky. Sorry I was late to the party.
