I haven't been on the forum for ages and just found the sad news about squeaky's death. I am so sorry, he was such a kind person.

Like many I didn't know Squeakybut it is a name I recognise from posts. As has already been said I frequently use the old style indexes.
My love and thoughts go to his family and friends and those on here who 'knew' him well.
RIP Squeaky another star shines brightly in the sky tonight:wave: Kate :hello:0 -

Old Style was a different place back then as there were recipes and tips in random places and he was a driving force in gathering it up and grouping it to make it function properly as a reference library of useful and invaluable information and experience.
I hope that MSE mark his passing with something permanent to recognise the work he put in.
I remember the Blackpool meet-up too A-T. Squeaky was a lovely, gentle man. He was very generous with his knowledge and was very helpful to many people on the forums. RIP a lovely man.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

I've been absent from MSE Old Style for a while, but was once a regular poster and Squeaky was a great gentleman.
If it weren't for his indexes, and the contributions to them, I'm not sure I'd ever have learnt to cook!
Many thanks for everything, RIP Squeaky.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -
