It is a shame really. Part of the basic induction covers Offensive Weapons/Articles with blades & points......
exactly, if you wanted to carry a stabbing weapon, a knife is a very bad idea, a screwdriver on the other hand,0 -
This car was a Mercedes C63 AMG
I wouldn't let a 20yr old loose in my own car, let alone a Merc of that level.
How did you think this was at all genuine? My niece's insurance on a Peugeot 406 (she's a year younger than you) is more than £2000, so how much do you actually think this would cost?

I'm not quite sure whether I believe much (if any) of the story, but if you're interested in what happens to people found to be in possession of knives, our beloved government issues regular statistical updates on the outcomes.

If the story is true, then the OP may find this interesting
From 3 December 2012 a new offence of aggravated knife possession came into force. Anyone who uses a knife or offensive weapon to threaten and endanger others will face a mandatory custodial sentence.

The op didn't use the knife thought, so wouldn't be convicted of that offence.
He is however guilty of possession of an offensive weapon. Tell the brief that and unless they think you'll get a caution they may tell you to go no comment. But that will see you in court.

dunno mate if youve been to some of the ****holes ive been to , you obviously lead a sheltered lifestyle , although 98% of the time there is no excuse .
exceptions being you could say you needed the knife to cut sticks to make them into tent pegs . every good camper carrys a knife
That is fine if you were actually out camping, otherwise that is not "good reason" or "lawful authority" to be carrying a knife.0 -

I have been stopped twice for carrying a leatherman in a belt pouch with a mini maglite and a roll of electrical tape, as soon as i explained i was an electrician and i always carry it for that reason they have been fine. i wouldnt however carry it with me if i was going out for a meal or to a pub etc0 -

That's because you have a good reason for carrying it. It is a tool of your trade.0 -
