Morning all,
Some rain yesterday evening so we were able to sleep without the fan for the first time in ages.
Waiting for details of DH's next steps with his heart problems, he heard yesterday he needs to see an "electrical specialist". It is never simple with him.
More ironing for me today as the pile just didn't disappear after the first 20 items.
Basically, over the next few weeks I want to go through the house like the (very slow) wrath of God and then start my new routines. The first step was giving away some furniture this last weekend. I'll get there eventually... honest
Have as much fun as you can, xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning everyone,
Beemuzed Happy anniversary.
Molly and Julie Hugs for you and for your DSs
LW Went to see my friend's cockerpoo puppy Lola yesterday. She is growing fast and has stopped the nipping stage.
JackieO Your family are so lucky to have you.
Halight Have a lovely holiday.
Well it rained a lot overnight here as well but it doesn't seem to have cooled things down much. At least the lawn is looking less like a dustbowl.
Really enjoyed the first day of my holiday yesterday. I pottered a lot and caught up with a couple of friends. One of my friends popped in to see me as she had seen me the day before and thought that I looked terrible. There's the end of term for you!!
Right I need to decide what to cook with the lovely courgettes that our neighbour gave us yesterday. i love courgettes.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Morning all,
I was up with the birds this morning. My bladder wouldn't allow me to sleep any longer so whilst I was up I prepared the flasks for the men and packed their sandwiches into hubbys bag before they got up.
I had a restless nights sleep last night. Although I slept all through I had so many bad dreams. I can remember my ex mother in law in one of them (lovely woman... wouldn't say boo to a goose). I'm not sure what was bad about the dream but I woke up in a sweat!
Middle son came to see me last night. Well actually he came for a shower and a feed. He was done and gone by the time his Dad and bro' came home from work. Although he is bright and seems happy enough theres something in him that worries me. I cant quite put my finger on it but I worry nonetheless.
Its the neighbours son's funeral today. I wont be going but ive sent his parents a card. Such an awful time for them. The order of things should be that the parent dies before the child not the other way round but its a term unfortunately i'm familiar with.
Weather is dire. Ive got boat loads of washing. Its bedding day and the men are coming home filthy after working in a school loft space and they are having to have a daily change of clothes. Then theres my middle sons clothes. Yes I am inundated with laundry today and as the weather is dire, i'll have to dry the lot in the tumble dryer.
Youngest daughter is 7 days off her pregnancy due date. I cant wait.
More news, a few of my daughters friends from here in the UK are going out to South Africa to visit my daughter and her partner. I wish I was going with them!
Faggots for tea tonight. I'll be doing a pizza for 'Youngest' though as he's not keen on them.

Bemused-have a hug.
Nmlc wouldn't mind the recipe for your sausage pasta. Ta!
DD flies in tomorrow and I don't feel prepared enough. I am going to cook her favourite meal-lamb tagine today ready to reheat tomorrow when we get home from Heathrow.
We will have a quick Skype in a bit as it's Thursday evening in Tokyo. She will leave Narita Airport at 11.30 am their time and get into Heathrow at 3.50pm the same day after a 12 hour flight!
Well hugs and kind thoughts to all. Have a lovely day.

Morning All
A little cooler this morning, thankfully.
DD has an interview today, She is not sure what the job is for because the details were quite vague. I will know more when she gets back. I have told her that if it is cold calling to avoid it like the plague, awful job, always under pressure and abusive people on the phoneI did it once and would never want to do it again.
Molly I hope all goes well at the hospital tomorrow, I must admit to hating them as well ((((Hugs))))
beemuzed Happy Anniversary
I hope you get your phone call today and find out a bit more, it is awful to be kept hanging around ((((Hugs))))
halight Have a lovely holiday
Right had better go and write my shopping list, DH will take me when he gets home from work, he works different hours in the school holidays. he won't get much done this week because the teachers are still there, so he is going to start painting the hall.

Halight have a fab holiday
Beemuzed happy anniversary
Quiet in work today, not entirely sure what I have on my to do list to be honest!
Was up at the crack of dawn thanks to some noisy so-and-sos on the road next to our house. Productive though, before I left for work I stripped the bed, set the washing machine going (on a timer) and had a quick tidy through...before leaving for work and realising whilst on the bus that I left half my breakfast in the toaster *rolls eyes*
New grocery month starts today but shouldn't need anything much for a day or two - probably only need a lettuce, some tomatoes and a few bits of fresh fruit actually. Don't want to go buying much until the new fridge arrives which should be in a few days as we are hoping to order it tomorrow!
Doing fabulously well on keeping myself hydrated finally, I have finished my 750ml bottle of water twice each day whilst at work! Just need to work on remembering to drink whilst at home now.
Have a lovely day one and all, I will swing by again later no doubt to catch up************************************

Afternoon, quickly rushing by.
First day of hols, kids bickering what joy. Off to a kids party shortly so will have some adult company.
Fasting today so not much for tea :rotfl:
Up at 5am thanks to killer cat and penchant for bringing in mice
No other news, just plodding on, trying to juggle kids with housework.
Hugs and spoons all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Molly how long will you be in for? I had a much better experience at ngh today than last time. Had my wisdom tooth out. In at 8, having my anaesthetic at 9, wide awake by 10 and home by 11.30! :T
Hope your procedure goes as well.
Trying to eat and drink on other side of mouth is a little awkward but if I stay pain free I shall be very happy.0 -

Glad your experience was positive x
Im going into the National Neurology in London and for about a weekI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Happy anniversary to Mr & Mrs Beemuzed
Molly all the best mate; and a barrow-load of Wolfy posi-vibes to take to the horse-piddle with you.
DG I don't know where the time goes, either - can't believe it's nearly the end of July! I seem to have achieved a big fat Zero so far this year!
Moorhen Lola sounds super - it's always good when they stop nipping; puppy teeth can be like little needles!:o
Just been writing Sassy's postcard to take home with her (she's being picked up at noon tomorrow). I like to do it the day before, to give myself plenty of time. To start, I can never think what to write, and when I think of something, writing is now a slow and painful task. Still, it's all done now. Just three more walkies and two more meals til she goes home.:(
With Mary's demise, I shall be dogless for just over three weeks *cries* unless there's a last-minute booking. Then on August 19th I get Patsy (Lhasa Apso) and Pandy (Coton de Tulear). I've had Pandy (full name Pandora) before; she used to live with a black poodle named Pip. I'm told that Pip passed away in late 2011, and the owners got Patsy as a companion for Pandy, who was feeling lonely without her little friend.:o
Posi-vibes to all who need them today - I do care about you all, but don't like to ask too many questions, as I don't want to seem nosy.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
