I was thinking of getting one of these as only have bog-standard Freeview TV and a Recorder.
    Is it any good?

I understand you can get BBC IPlayer etc, and can pay extra (no thanks -for Sky sports and Films) but it looks like to register it you have to sign up to skysports for a day or 30 day free film trial ?

It seems to be a good piece of kit as the normal Roku (non-NowTV branded) is around £40. That said, this version is a NowTV special so has Sky software on it that has some limitations (like no Lovefilm app, no 4Od or ITV catch up, not the full functionality of Roku but you can use the development option to add Plex and then stream additional channels from your laptop/computer).

It is worth doing the free trial anyway for NowTV if you haven't already (TCB/Quidco about £10.50 if you pay for the second month). I have to admit it is a good service - or rather, it is with this box, on its own it is a pain as it has limited viewing options with no Smart TV availability and you therefore need to watch on your computer, link your TV to your laptop or XBox (with Live subscription). We have watched more films in the past week since the box arrived than we did the previous 4 months (don't worry, paid 2x£20 vouchers so far to return after cancelling ;)) . There is an offer around for 6 month NowTV for £15 which is good value (also 6 months Lovefilm on Mighty Deals is £10 at the moment plus 15% TCB cashback) - for both, don't forget to go through TCB/Quidco when signing up as it may (or may not) track.

Quick warning - don't buy the Indian meal for 2 that TM posted about as part of a T vs A shop. Compared £5 at T to £9 at A and wiped out my PP :(

I've just spent the last hour re- emailing copies of my receipts for cash back claims. Apparently because I have done multiple shops the system has asked for them to be verified. :eek:Which is done manually.
So DON'T THROW YOUR RECEIPTS AWAY!!!:)

I haven't thrown mine away, I checked back through and I still have receipts for TCB and clicksnap from March I haven't yet chuecked :rotfl:
I've set myself up a nice tin I can store all receipts in now incase anyone asks for them :)
I sent my 4 scans in on the 28th and am still waiting for them to pay out so i'm assuming manual verification takes them ages :(
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

    Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

To be fair, I think it was about the chef's pledge voucher rather than a PP shop, wasn't it? Might be wrong.:o

Hope you have better luck than me :D

I like you got freeview tv and recording box so thought it would come in useful. I signed up http://www.nowtv.com/ but have not paid anything apart from box. Just tell them you will sign up later for paid stuff ;)

Did you give your card details, have tried the 2 options, 30 day free film trial and sports day pass and both want my details?

Have just ordered, worth a try for £10, I will probably have nightmares trying to set it up.
Hope my broadband speed is fast enough, sometimes it's snail-pace - long way from exchange apparently.

    Yes, I know that :p I did a coupon shop vs A
The chefs pledge voucher came off fine :D
Had a quick search on A.com for 'indian meals' and nothing came up so wanted to highlight it in case anyone else was as daft as me :o

Afternoon - had a nsd today. First for quite a while :D apart from getting my hair cut. But feeling quite virtuos in spite of this as felt (and looked) the pits :rotfl::rotfl:

I have the kind of hair that likes to do its own thing - no matter how hard I try to tame it  :rotfl:

My nearest big T has been undergoing a massive refurbishment for weeks and it's been like a war zone in there. All finished this week and this morning I got accepted onto a Bzz campaign to go and try it out! Starts next week and goes on until the end of September. How cool is that?!

    Very cool :j

    I've been invited too :T

Been Looking forward to trying giraffe :rotfl:
