Has anyone else noticed a price hike on Tuna?

I've checked supermarket 'cheapy' tuna chunks tins, and M was 59p now 84p
T & A are now 90p  I know A was 64p
Yes - i noticed this the other day and forgot to post it. We will have to find another oily fish to include in our healthy diet@(lol_. Sardines at 34p compare well as a filler. Will have to have a look at tinned mackerel.

Sorry to hear about your toast. Its rotten when that happens. But Marmite! Yuk. I wouldn't polish Stan's shoes with the stuff.

No, i'm not drunk now. I did something pretty stupid - I drank about five large whiskeys and slept it off. Was petrified of the anasthetic wearing off. I hope it doesn't set me back in regards to healing of the wound. I can feel the stitches. Yesterday was traumatic. Felt like my head was being ripped apart by the dentist.

Afternoon all, hope you heal quickly YQ. Hope this helps, I had all four out under general anaesthetic years ago, my mum, god rest her, thought it would be a good idea to drip feed me a bottle of sherry the night before. I remember the nurse giving me a funny look when I came round after the op as I must've reeked of booze :) everything healed nicely though.

50p coupon off Andrex Eco 4 or 9 pack ;)
Thanks for this one tweets - great especially as they are try me free at the moment - paid to take away. The trouble is with all these glitch things the minute you start buying them Mr. t then starts sending you coupons for them in his mailings and they then usually are a rip off!

Raid fly and wasp killer cheap in Morries:

1x RAID FLY AND WASP KILLER 300ML £2.50 £2.50 £2.40 £1.00

Was using finest coupons on meal deal and got an unexpected £1.50 back on my shop.

Everything else as expected but this may be helpful if someone is at Sainsbury's -- or if you are trying to do a meal deal and looking for a PP, be careful:

1x TESCO FINEST NEGROAMARO SALENTO 75CL £6.99 † n/a £7.49

Youhurt Queen had an abcess as well though so very suprised that

a) Dentist took tooth out in 1st place as usually they like the infection gone before they will extract.

b) Antibiotics were not given.

I agree, posted yesterday that I thought YQ shouldn't have had the extraction with an abscess and needed antibiotics first.

The worst possible scenario is that the infection can travel through the sinus's and up to the brain.

So I would ring back and see if you can get some
Sounds dramatic but this can happen.

On a lighter note - rang Jacobs yesterday about the late of BB Date on 2 boxes of Savoury Favourites and today post arrived with 2 £3.00 Vouchers- how's that for service:A

This is the reason I love this thread so much. Quite apart from all the great money saving tips, we get to share what's on our minds. For those who are off ill from work, or for those who are stuck indoors, this thread is a life saver in so many ways.

As for your predicament, I wouldn't swap you for me any day. I remember only too well, when my mother was going into hospital and we were all told to come in and say our goodbyes. Was the hardest thing i've ever had to endure, as i'm sure it was for us all.

Then she was ok and discharged! It was a year later, after two or three more scares that she finally went to sleep. We were unable to say goodbye this time, because it was sudden. But i'm grateful we got to cherish her another year.

The worst part is the waiting around. If you have family gathered around, you can't help but start to talk about her in the past tense almost. And you end up saying things like, Oh well, she'll be out of pain, etc. etc. No more loss of dignity etc. Its her time. etc.

Then the next thing you know, she's home. I hope i'm explaining things properly here. But what I'm trying to say really, is just love her and be there as much as possible while you're lucky enough to have her, and you will have no regrets.

Thanks for that.We know it is only a question of time. She has advanced heart failure and has constant chest infections. She has had sepsis and overcame that. However after the last time in hospital she said she would not go in again. Her mind is as sharp as ever. The doctor has now doubled the antibiotics so we are hoping she will pull through but she hasn't eaten since Friday.

Hi
Just been to tescos and found
BT quad phones with answer machine. freelance xt 3500. sel says £159.00
But scanning at £52.00. Hth x

The Freelance xt25000 , quad with answering machine ( don't know what the difference is was SEL £49.00 and Scanned at £32.00 a couple of weeks ago:) Posted when I got one for Mum.
Also was a SEL for £129.00 so was hoping for a DTD :(

Very limited instructions, so rang up - they wanted £6.50 to send the full ones out - I was very .
Couldn't download them from site because link has been closed due to being a deleted product.
Eventually sent me an email with link after I complained.
Still not happy as I had to print off the relevant pages to take to her house.

How is an 83 year old, without a computer meant to get instructions?
