MSE News: Premier League free streaming sites: Is it legal?

I know people are fed up with paying so much for Sky Sports and only getting a fraction of the games, with many not broadcast in the UK but broadcast elsewhere.
Surely if they are actually broadcasting a non-UK stream then the recent EU pub ruling would apply? It's only when you re-broadcast the Sky or BT feed that you are really breaking the law.0 -
Yes, but a lot of foriegn broadcasters use technology to put their logo over the top of the Premier League one.Never Knowingly Understood.

They do - http://www1.skysports.com/nowtv/Trouble is that their small fee is £9.99. Four weekends a month is £40 so if you watch one game a week you might as well get the sports package.
Or you could go to the pub and for the same price get three pints for every game.
Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware of this.
Although I did put "small" fee and to me £9.99 is not a small fee haha!0 -

Being a student, if i'm not watching the game in a pub/bar it is usually one of these sites. Always thought it was technically illegal though.0

Net result is more promotion for the sites.
