  • great thread !! :)

we save up our 50p pieces for our car tax. i think my dad gets them changed into vouchers, so there is no chance of spending the money before the car tax is due

  • use value brand products :) some of the 'cheaper' bubble bath or body wash etc is actually quite nice :)

  • also look at your local freecycle group, where people offer things that they would normally throw away, and they are free. should save you money on those things that you need :)https://www.freecycle.org

  • i have just done a monthly plan of meals, and broken it down into a weekly shopping list for my food. i saved about £30 on it, just because i only bought what i needed for all the meals that week, and going for the cheapest option on each item too :)

  • White vinegar is about 55p a bottle in asda put one cap ful in your dishwasher whenever it is smelly and grimely looking and put on a cycle (no dishes inside though) when its finished sparkly dishwasher and no smell and a heck of a lot cheaper than dishwasher cleaner/freshner
  • buy yoghurts in tubes when they are on special and put in freezer in the morning put in packed lunch box by lunch time they have defrosted and keep lunch cool and as they are froxen you can keep them that bit longer.

where did you buy your reusable nappies? any recommendations?
    Hi
FWIW I use Bambino Mio nappies and wraps:
    https://www.bambino.co.uk or
    https://www.bambionmio.com
for both my boys (#1son is 5years old and potty trained when he was just 2; #2 1 (still in nappies, but asking to be changed when soiled)). One of the 'advantages' is that your child may potty train earlier since they can feel when they are wet. Modern dispos 'wick moisture away from baby's skin', so they cannot feel the wet.
If you live near Northampton (thier factory shop in just north of Northampton - 12 Staveley Way, Brixworth, Northampton, NN6 9EU, United Kingdom) then they hold regular factory sales where you can get up to 20% off prices for wraps - outer that the nappy goes into & nappies and accessories - buckets, laundry bags etc.
then I shop around for flushable liners and flushable wipes.
A very very useful site is
    http://www.thenappylady.co.uk/
this has everything you wanted to know about bappies but were afraid to ask.
