Like a priceless jewel buried in dark layers of soil and stone, earth radiates her brilliant beauty into the caverns of space and time.

Stately trees seem to brush the deep blue sky. Clouds billow to form magestic peaks. The songs of birds fill the air creating symphony upon symphony

For those on Economy 7 Electricity - make sure you know exactly when your meter switches to cheap-rate, as this can vary from meter to meter.

For instance, mine runs from 12.45 - 7.45 GMT or 1.45 - 8.45 BST. I bet not everyone remembers the change in the summer months. :)

  • 9) If you enjoy wine, try the boxes they are great value, and as good quality as a £4-£7 bottle, for £11 - £15 for 3 litres. And you arent tempted to "finish the bottle, or its a waste".
Better still, you can make your own! Wine yeast and other essentials are available from Wilco, and books on how to do it are often found in charity shops and boot sales. It will take a few weeks, so lifesachallenge's suggestion will tide you over in the meantime, and damaged boxes are sometimes reduced. The wine is fine if the foil bag inside is intact, the box just makes it easier to pour.
  • I use soda crystals to clean off grease in the kitchen - it works a treat and is cheaper than kitchen cleaners - more environmentally friendly too.
  • if you visit motorway services, grab as many packets of sauces, salt, pepper etc as you can! :-)

Do you water it down or use neat?
  • Take responsibility for your own dental care. There is a load of information to be found on http://mizar5.com/omedia2.htm (sorry don't know how to do links...yet). most of the information on there comes, by way of a devotee, from a dentist who in the 1970's decided that dentists were a rip off -- naturally he was barred for his heretical ideas but they are all sound.

Same applies to eye care. Run "Natural Eye Improvement" or "Natural Eye Correction" or similiar words, through your on-line library data base. Suffolk library has at least a dozen books on the subject. Once again all the knowledge originates from one man (an opthamalogist) who made extensive studies in the 1930s.

  • if you're under 25 (or over and in full time education) get a rail card (available at manned rail stations) it gets you a third of rail journeys. if you make a lot of them it can really save you a ton!
Also if you use a bus every day, get a pass, they may seem expensive initially but it usually works out much cheaper than paying loads of single fares.
Money burns a hole in my pocket, but I'm trying to be good!!
