Happy birthday Taplady, hope that you and Taplord can get away for a few days.
We have had RAIN to-day....just a really heavy shower, no sign of any thunder, it is humid though and would not be surprised if we had some kind of storm over the next few day, still very warm.
Had a phone call from DD2 to say that she and DGDs 1&3 are arriving in the morning for 3 weeks....she hires a car so will only be here for short periods of time between visiting friends in the four corners of the country so we don't get in each other's hair too much!
Enjoyed our weekend in Cork, stayed until yesterday instead of coming home on Sunday as planned. Travelling by train is very relaxing and cheap as we have free travel, but was sorry that we hadn't brought the car as DS1 and DDIL1 have lots of veggies in their polytunnel that we could have brought home, not possible on train...still always next time!
Need to pick the rest of the rhubarb and dispose of it to jam and freezer over next few days, never really pick it after middle of July usually but this year everything has been late, so giving myself a bit of leeway. Keeping an eye on my eating apply Katy which matures early but doesn't keep so need to save it before the wasps devour them.
Glad to hear that the Duchess of Cambridge and her son are well....had rather hoped it would be a girl as she would still have been third in line, but health is the only thing that matters....too much hype though, hope that they can enjoy a little privacy.
Hugs to all who are in need or want of some, take care and stay safe
