...Not much of interest to report here (is there ever? I wouldn't be at all surprised if most of you skip my posts) so I shall push off and let someone more interesting have their say.;)
Now now, LW, we don't do that around here! I for one always read your posts.
Allotment production line is starting to kick in - we've still on the "h/g courgettes are a novelty" thought at the moment, but I'm sure it will move on to "oh, not courgettes?" by next weekend! Stawberries are all over, blackcurrants picked & "bottled" in gin, rasps coming ready, loads of plums & apples, spinach, chard, lettuce & leaves, radish, spring onions, beetroots, peas, mangetouts, being harvested daily, french beans and onions almost ready, shallots garlic & winter onions all gathered in.
Apart from keeping all that lot growing, I don't really get up to much else - I do always pop on and read everyday though, and I do miss Hester's wit (her new blog has a different outlook on things!).
Will go back to lurking in that Lancashire coastal resort - where the Tower went blue last night!0 -
Happy birthday Taplady!
Still very warm and clammy, had to go to occ. health this morning, got halfway there and the heavens opened, the motorway was flooding, and spectacular lightning! Its dry at the moment, but forecast for more tonight, hopefully tomorrow is dry a I'm going out with my friend for lunch.
Have leftover chicken and chorizo simmering with veg in a barbecue-ish sauce for dinner, will make some rice or pasta to go with it. Need to hunt out something tidy to wear tomorrow, otherwise planning on reading and dozing, feel washed out, the sun has drained me, the thought of living in the heat with the menopause, I don't envy women in that situation!!!
Right, off to find my kindle, have a good day all!RIP Iain

Interesting walkies.... now, before I start, let me say I always "pick up" after my canine guests, and deplore people who don't clean up after their dogs. But it does strike me as rather ironic to find a thundering great big pile of horse-poo in the middle of the Redway when I took Sassy out just now.:D (For non-MK people, the Redways are wide paths for use by walkers, cycles, buggies, mobility scooters etc). It took a bit of careful steering not to go right through the middle of it!:eek:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Glad the Royal bub is here safe n sound, but did find myself thinking last night NEWS FLASH WOMAN HAS A BABY - phahh.... Cynical by nature i,m afraid - guess it means that tourism will be up, providing more jobs etc and loads of new baby Harold,s or whatever the decide to call it, just like when Diana hit the headlines and it appeared that ever woman in the World had the lady di haircut - me included ohhh the shame....
Anyhoo DD17 has done the washing and hung it out, tidied the kitchen, including washing the floor, and is making dinner for us - just waiting for the 'bill' - mum can I borrow ££££££ - still nice though
Off to get a drink and await the dinner gong, have a fab evening all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Did you see the news about the woman who tried to take her horse through McDonalds drive in? They refused to serve her so she rode it actually into McDonalds and it promptly pooed on the floor! She ended up getting fined when McDonalds staff called the police. It appears she was also with a girl on a pony and this was in the middle of Manchester. Some people
