I am defiantly on the post work programme (PWPS)
I spent 2 years in total on WP
By in total I mean I was on WP for 18 months then I got a job in a factory which was temporary for 2 months, then I want back on WP for 1 month, then my partner went on to Income Support & Carers Allowance as she was looking after her dad after he had a stoke, then when he was able to look after himself again we went back on to JSA, so I went back to WP for the last 5 months
So I had my PWPS interview yesterday
I also told my advisor that I was going to college in September & she said as long as it is under 16 hours (which my course is) then I can go to college & it wont affect my benefit, but I guess it is the old addage "you will be expected to give up you course if you find a job")
So alls well at the moment0 -

Hi Topaz
Did your job centre not mention the new Help To Work scheme that started today for WP leavers ?
Had a new pwps advisor today and was dreading it and expected to be in for daily signings or refered to 6 months work fare.
No mention of Help To Work scheme just a telephone catch up in a months time and normal signing.
Had JSAg tweeked a bit and thats all.
Been on PWPS since October 2013 so 6 months not sure if those of us who have done PWPS for 6 months or longer are being put on this Help to Work scheme or not ?
Glad your appointment went smoothly Topaz !'...luck came to those who left a space for it.' Terry Pratchett0 -
There are no plans at the moment to implement the help to work scheme for existing stock PWPS claimants. The new scheme will only apply to claimants completing the WP post 28th April 2014.

I have an interview for a voluntary job at a local charity shop next week so maybe they will leave me alone more, as the have said that the positively encourage voluntary work, before anyone says anything I know I have to declare it, My interview is on the 12th May & I have an appointment at JCP on the 13th May so I will tell them then if I know I have got the job0
