Not for office junior they don't and data entry normally only use of the number keyboard which is no different to texting fast or using a calculator.

  • you do not see how long it takes me to do a post. i have to spend time putting right all the mistakes and even then the eagle eyed of you still like to highlight mistakes that remain. if theres an office job that does not require use of a computer, use of a telephone and previous experience then i would have a chance. if i see a job advertised that fits that i will go for it.
Well your first 3 posts on this thread tonight have been typed at an average of 21wpm. That doesn't include your reading, thinking of response and clicking though posts and corrections etc so could easily be 30+ or more. Not fast but likely sufficient for many junior office jobs or admin jobs that don't require frequent typing.
  • but they dont expect the same level of quality from my telephone technique that an employer would.

Speaking to someone in a professional and polite manner, taking details and advising accordingly is within the grasp of most people.

I always got the impression they were a lot younger?

I am in my 40's and my mum is 79 and she can text.

Do you really think you're qualified to pass judgement on somebody else given your time unemployed?

You have so much more experience and skills yet still fail to find employment.

That is highly dubious considering the staff if the jobcentre for example
