There are people with various qualifications and backgrounds in factory's.

I do not believe in being "over qualified"

Anyone can do cleaning or if you can drive, driving jobs. The list goes on.

Last week there was a programe on the BBC called "we pay your taxes" (check your catch up tv).

There was a student who had done well at uni with a 2.1 in media studies, he went to be a care worker.
I do as they know I will leave as soon as something better comes a long but will do the job in the meantime. They know I will be bored to death as I have managed a team and dealt with £millions of pounds on pay runs and ordered currency etc

You have to understand if you get a job in a team and you all so the same job if you bring in someone with more experience it makes the other look bad too.

I didn't watch that programme as that kind of thing makes me mad. I bet they had no work experience.

I read today that one company was looking to hire 16 people. They got over1600 aplications. The man power it will take that company to sort that out it uncalculable ( spelling?) that is our nation wide job market.

They will probably not read anymore than 40 CV's

    sigh.

How many people apply for a job is irrelevant and no indication on the state of the economy.

This all depends on how you look at it.

You don't have a job and hence no income. You are reliant on others to give you an income so you can feed and clothe yourself. You have gone to the state and signed a form that basically says "I can't provide for myself, can you support me? I promise to look for a job".

Those that pay the piper, pick the tune, as they saying goes. That means the state will pay you, but you need to do whats said. Its not mandatory, you can sign off at any time, you just don't get the JSA, which is usually (and rightly) a gateway to other benefits. These benefits provide a roof over your head (if you have to pay rent and can't), perhaps supports your children (if you have any), removes you (mostly) from civil bills like council tax etc.

So as part of this, you have to work, this involves :
    • Working hard
    • Getting no/short lunch
    • Having a boss telling you what to do
Which is exactly what every other employed person has had to face over the years.

    Its good practice.

Perhaps it makes you hate the "stupid rules". I say those rules are part of working.

Perhaps it makes you hate doing this work. I say its a good incentive to find your own work and get paid more than JSA.

Either way you get my point.

Good luck and welcome to what millions of people do every day (something you aspire to with Job Seekers allowance).

If we all have a set of rules to follow then we make a better life for ourselves if we follow them.
When will it stop being fashionable to rant at dolies? I havent broken the law so why do i feel like i might be put against a wall and shot. We need none restictive unemployment help.

well I only get £71.70 a week so you tell me

35 hours at 6.19 it take home £216.63

Like I say I and many ONLY get £71.70 so yeah its a lot more to get paid for the job.

But mant people will also be getting rent, council tax, free dentist, prescriptions. If they have children school meals and tax credits.

    Its all benefit.
