I phoned t-mobile to cancel my contract yesterday.
My contract has less than 1 month to go from tomorow and i was told even though i am on the £8 half price deal when i give my pac and switch over to 3 before the end of my contract i will therefore pay full price for the last month.

Is that true cos i have already paid for it iin advance and dont wanna get another final bill of £7something.
or did they just bluff me to stop me leaving before the end of the contract which ends 22nd august.

You will be charged if you port out even days before the natural end date. So play them at their own game - your billing date is where everything rotates. If you don't really need a PAC don't ask for one. Give notice and leave.

If you do port, 29 days after giving notice minimises your exposure.

T mobile tried the early termination fee trick on me when I had given proper notice. I wrote a strong complaint (alleging unfair contract term, disputing direct debit at back) at which point they immediately backed down. They may well try it on, but have no desire to see the point tested.
