Bloody sat-navs. I still refuse to buy one.

Have some good old fashioned directions instead:

    • From Manchester Airport, follow M56 northbound, staying in the left lane at Junction 3 to follow signs for M60 (S&E).
    • Follow the M60 anticlockwise for about six junctions, leaving at Junction 23, signposted Ashton-under-Lyne. Turn left onto Moss Way - A6140.
    • Follow Moss way ahead past Currys and Argos and the first set of lights. At the second set of lights (facing the garden centre), bear to the right using either lane on approach, following the large dual carriageway. This is still the A6140 - Sheldon Way. Beware the sneaky 30 speed limit as it catches a lot of people out and there are cameras.
    • At this point, you should see periodic signs for Ikea, but if you follow this road for quite a distance (past The Car People) and turn left at the roundabout (past the cinema and Hollywood Bowl), by the time you reach another roundabout you will see Ikea directly in front of you.
I suggest you park on the lower level open air car park, which is the shortest walk to the store exit - yes, you enter at the exit if you want quickest access to the swedish food market and the cafe!

    Bon appetit!

I sometimes say 'Bloody Sat-Navs' too - but your undoubted comprehensive knowledge of Manchester count's for nought when you're trying to find you way out of Rome's back streets heading for Naples. LOL. :(

So I purchase or download a map. :) Same road layout as on a sat-nav, but I make the decisions - not some silly machine - so I don't end up in a river or worse...
