in the same way 'herbal' ciggies are dangerous. smoke contains carcinogens. herbal ciggies are proved to be almost as dangerous as 'normal tobacco' cigarettes.0

its the same way smoke inhalation kills people in fires even when the flames are not near them - the smoke in itself is harmful. do I have that right sovilla?0

Because of the effects of carbon monoxide on the body. Nicotine itself is generally not harmful to people, its just the addictive component of tobacco. Its the other 4000 chemicals that can cause problems.
Time to put them on prescription only....After Cameroons and crosby packaging facade what are the chances of that?It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
I thought you had to be 18 before you could smoke in the UK? Or is that just up with us in Scotland?I don't think children under 16 should be smoking sheesha, its fruit flavoured tobacco and tobacco is known to be harmful. You have to be 16 here in the UK to smoke it not sure about Turkey.
I don't know what she means by herbal, is she implying its ok because they aren't smoking drugs?0 -
There are too many variables here to know whether to be shocked or not!
Shisha, or hookah terms usually refer to type of pipe, so without knowing what they smoked through the pipe it's all guess work. Herbal tobacco can be natural- as sold in health food stores or used by true Rastafarians who follow the teaching of "not harming their body as its a temple".
We also need to remember that almost nothing is risk free and the chemicals in some food that we eat daily are just as bad. A one off wouldn't cause much damage and no one should be castigated as such0 -
I've smoked shisha many times. It was available in bars where I went to university and I've also had it in Turkey and in Zanzibar.
I always thought you could get flavoured versions which contained no tobacco and was basically like inhaling flavoured air/steam. You definitely couldn't tell there was anything harmful in a few of the flavoured ones I've smoked. Then again, I've never really looked into it/thought twice.
I'd still not allow a child or someone under 16 to use them. If nothing else (i.e. it's not bad), it's a bad example to set/give the child.0 -
I would suggest that the parents are not fit to look after their own children if they let them smoke shisha/hookah.

Also what people dont realises is the shisha pipe is passed from person to person, not steralised and can actually cause Herpes.
Unlikely. Herpes is contracted via skin to skin contact. You're more likely to catch herpes by kissing your grandmother.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
