Made a trip to Mr T's today. Roughly a 20 minute bike ride. Was pretty hilly, so I was pretty exhausted when I got home. Should get used to it though as I'll soon be moving to Durham (really hilly place) and have nearly a 5 mile daily commute.
Its not that bad... You will soon get used to it
Todays spends include 85 wash box of Daz for £12 followed by £6.79 at Mr T's on dog food and some fruit and veg. Forgot to buy milk so i have no choice but to pop to the local shop tomorrow.
My budget seems to be running out quite quick this month alreadySlimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb

Gosh you really notice the money go when you take your food budget out in cash and don't just put it on the card!!Haven't had any nsds yet this month but have taken lunch to work with me every day!
That does sound like a good idea. To withdraw all the money you intend to use on food at the start of the month, so you can see right in front of you what money is reserved exactly for food. Anything left-over maybe can be transferred to some other use (paying off a debt, towards some fund, to the next months budget). Would certainly reduce the frequency of which I withdraw money if I did that.Extra money made jun 19: £16.07

I managed a NSD today. :j
See some folk are talking about monies left over each month - I just keep a running total then
1. use to buy stuff in bulk when cheap or a butcher big shop
2. use for extras for Xmas
3. use for treats on hols as usually self-cater and its good to have some meals out without feeling you are over-spending
Getting harder though as prices seem to be rocketing !!
Can anyone tell me whether there is a dearth of markets in Scotland because they don't eat veg - or don't they eat veg because there are no markets ?? :rotfl:£10day.2014=3213/2015=3421/2016=3238/2017=2702/2018=498..APR=12.03/300

I think that will be my remaining £11.73 gone.
I always use cash as I find it makes me think before buying.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Morning all!!
Another NSD yesterday :T Took advantage of the glorious weather to do some gardening and then spent the rest of the day sunbathing and re-reading my MSE and OS books for inspiration :A
Going to redo my meal plan today as I've finally gotten around to checking the best before dates on everything from the cupboards and quite a few things are already past their dates and a few only have till the end of Sept, so need to use all that stuff up asap. I'm horrified to say that some things are actually 2 years out of date!! Hopefully they will still be edible though as I REALLY can't afford to be throwing away [STRIKE]food[/STRIKE] money!!
I hate going shopping and fighting with the crowds on a Saturday so I'm popping into town today to get a couple of essential bits and bobs. Will be sticking strictly to my list, unless I find some fantastic reduced items of course!
Have a good day everyone, and I will be back later to post my spends for the day xxxxx:ADFW Nerd 145

There's been a bit of a !!!! up this month so I'm reducing our budget to £200. Please put me down for £50 per week. I shop weekly so it may be better for me to do the budget weekly.
This includes food for 2 adults and a toddler, nappies/wipes, pet food and all cleaning products.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget
