Hi all. Been away this weekend (still am) so not spent any £ from the grocery budget, but some from the entertainment budget instead.
Going to do a food shop today on the way home though, so will update my signature later.0 -
I have come in £4.50 over-budget, due in part to having bought a Lurpak limited edition pie dish. I have a similar pie dish that my mum bought me a few years ago, which cost £7 and was smaller than this one, so it seemed too good an offer to pass up!
For anyone else interested, I found the dish in Tesc0, the pack comes with 2 butters (£4 isn't bad for 2 Lurpak butters) and a pie dish.
The good thing is, this weeks shop will cover me for the first week of October, so I should be able to make some savings next month.0 -
Spend of £6.91 today in Aldoo. Spent quite a bit this 4 weeks of the GC but have lots in stock now.
I am going away for a week soon - Mr F doesn't spend much while I am away. However I usually buy a load of shopping for family I stay with while there.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

My last spend for September today as I forgot to get the fish out of the freezer!
This week was just to gage if I can manage £20 a week but I think £25 will be more realistic to include veggies and meat.
So today's spend;
£2.95 in morrisos on milk, reduced steak pies for dinner, reduced cherry pie for pudding and frozen mash
Total for this week £23.95I'm C, Mummy to DS 29/11/2010 and DD 02/11/2013

Spent £199.27 in Sept, that was £63.27 over budget, a bit disappointed so need to rethink the stratagy. Think I maybe need to concentrate on what is in the cupboards and freezer, and just add in the bits and bobs needed. probably means visiting the SM more often and spending a lot less at each time. Just hope the will power holds up!!0

Yes I felt obliged to buy said bargain pie dish too but from Mr S. Used it already to make a large Yorkshire pudding in yesterdayx

(I couldn't find the Nick Nairn recipe online - copyright issues maybe? but this one is the same/very similar. The BBC Good Food ed is credited though.). Hope you enjoy it!

I have all I need in for the next 2 day's dinners at least. Will need to buy milk though.
We had HM TITH + roast potatoes + cabbage, carrots and gravy for dinner.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
