I intend today to be another NSD.
I've found I spend a lot of my money at the start of the week so i'm trying hard to break that routine & only spend when I NEED to spend.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
Been looking into powdered milk Mr T do a valve version (as far as I can tell its exactly the same as the shop brand one, just a different container)
Cost = £1.15 for 454g makes approx 8 pints (powder keeps for 6 weeks)
Therefore if you use it all in the six weeks cost per pint is 15p
I am going to try some, I will continue to get 'proper' milk for DS but hopefully this will be fine for myself meaning the 'proper' milk will last longer.
Thanks to Chickadee0 -
:hello:
Hi all, hope you are all well...
Im still plodding along this month, but know I have blown my budget by a massive amount already and considering my month ends the 9th... its not looking good.
However my additional spends have been on xmas, unexpected visitors, DS needing new 'everything' and things like printer cartridges etc etc etc, so not entirely wasted...
Spends so far this month total £249/£150 -- and theres an online shop due today.
I will be spending the rest of this evening recalculating my meal plan. Without wine
Have a good day xxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Declaring at £279.14 for September.
Wasn't around much of the time, as my partner started his training course so was away for a week and then we had a week in yarmouth holidays. Came in over, but that did include all of partners spends whilst training and all of our food etc. on holiday. Got to be really strict in October as we have a number of bills coming up.
September ended for me on Sunday, and new challenge started Monday, so see you all in the new thread. xMum of 2 monkey. 4 yrs and 2 yrs :j
Starting again...

Just done my weekly shopping yesterday at Mr S, hopefully that will be it for this month. Spent 32.03 which together with my 85p overspend last week means I'll be over by £32.88, making my monthly spend £168.88. However I think this is my lowest monthly spend for ages so quite pleased but I do need to work at getting it lower.
I think I'll do a menu plan for next month and see if that works but I'm usually not that well organised and all my menu plans in the past have gone off track as I sometimes forget about dinner until the last moment and then just grab something quick without giving it much thought.

Hi Everyone,
I would like to join your forum as I need help and motivation to bring my spending under control.
I've looked at your postings and have seen some very good ideas that will help me a lot. I hope that I will be able to repay the debt by posting ideas that will help others.
Currently I am assessing the "damage' and will come up with a plan that I can declare over the next day or so.
Tx'If you are not in the 'arena' also getting your a55 kicked then, I'm not interested in your feedback.' Thank you.0 -
