I would need to stack two fence panels together to cover the amount i require.
As long as they are only 3 foot panels you'll be OK then.

    Cheers

You've already been told, you can't put a 10 foot fence up without planning permission.

!!!!!!, just re-read the post. Looks like I got no choice and just have a peeping person look in to my house whenever they wish to :(

Wish he never touched my branches now, as that did provide some amount of privacy before.

Just noticed they have a Met Post extender, which is exactly what I need. Thanks mate :)
Actually its totally NOT what you need. PP issues aside the sail area that you are planning to put up will have zero problem overcoming the very limited stability these things give. Result - your nice fence will be flat on your garden (or his garage roof) in anything above Beaufort scale1.

    Cheers

Am i correct to say i can stack two fence panels up as little confused if I can do this or not :(

As I do need it to be10 feet high, as earlier this morning I took measurements of the garage height which was 5 feet and I would need a further 5 for the privacy to stop him peeping.

Oh dear. You can put up a 2m (call it six feet if you want) without PP. Two 3 feet on top of one another = six feet. Sorry for being too subtle.

    Hmmm.

Well before. Beaufort 1 = what is called Light Airs but I was being lighthearted. It'll probably ceome down at a 4 or 5.

Thanks keystone, appreciate your help on this.

Looks like unless I can get a fence post on to the garage I got no choice and will have to go through some form of planning permission :(

Even 5 foot above the garage wouldn't stop him looking in unless he's a dwarf.

True. The plan was to put a concrete slot post at the bottom to give it some height so although the last panel would not have slotted in at its entirety it would give me some privacy. Better to have something then nothing as currently he can jump in to my garden without a fence present.
