Although if you're talking about instant notifications then please let me apologise for the fact that they are historically known to be unreliable. I cannot promise they will work for you in a reliable and consistent way. We did resolve this issue. But users preferred things how they work now. So these remain as is.

    Thank you.

They have usually worked reliably for me based on the logic vBulletin implemented for them. They may have designed that logic to work in a slightly odd way that can be confusing, but they did work correctly as designed 99% of the time.

Don't seem to be now though. :(

I don't know if this is a temporary blip due to the changeover of server, or just me, but I haven't received email notifications for threads that I am subscribed to this morning ie Glamour & Easy Living :(

Has anyone been receiving theirs or shall I message techie guys? I have checked that they are still showing as subscribed :(

If you're talking about digest emails. You may have missed a few but you will start to get them again eventually. Soon hopefully. We just need to give vBulletin a little more time to wake up properly :).

Sorry MSE Ian I don't know what digest emails are, but basically I haven't received any emails since the server change-over, and I have had no reply to my report reference #611095.

I have previously checked threads were still subscribed to (which they are).

I have now just gone to Subscribed Threads, List Subscriptions, and page-by-page ticked all boxes and at the bottom then Selected Threads: selected Instant email notification and I'll wait to see if that has been the laxative that my system needs

On the plus side, I'm getting more comping done as not aware of what's going on :(

Well, if the emails were working properly I should have received 5 or 6 since this morning.

And believe me, I very well know the conditions and logic for these being sent. They should have been, and have not. Or are backlogged somewhere in the system.

I've only had one instead of the 5 or 6, so there is a big problem there Houston.

No notification emails for me either. Glad its not just me who is having the issue.
  • Hi all,

Just to update you on the situation with the instant email notifications. Based on the testing we have done so far, we are continuing to see emails going out as before. But it certainly sounds like they are not arriving.

Please can you let us know who you are using for email services in each case. This might assist our investigation. Thank you.
