Hi meher,

That's almost certainly on your machine, and done by Skype. Did you install or upgrade it recently? What it tries to do is scan your screen for numbers and convert them to Skype links.

Have a look under Settings- there is probably a radio box checked that is doing it.

ah that makes immense sense, you're spot on, i have skype on my machine, so that's resolved for me thanks

Congratulations on the successful move! Am curious about whether it's the the normal colo, hosting or cloud part of lon3 though. Their cloud service might be handy sometimes for newsletter-related and maybe other load surges.

Subscription Notifications
I don't know if this is a temporary blip due to the changeover of server, or just me, but I haven't received email notifications for threads that I am subscribed to this morning ie Glamour & Easy Living

Has anyone been receiving theirs or shall I message techie guys? I have checked that they are still showing as subscribed

'glamor & easy living' is that the name of a board? very interesting we need such nice names for boards - it matters, imo

i don't like the name 'arms'; it sounds like some army pub or guns or something like that to me but i appreciate it could be just me

Although if you're talking about instant notifications then please let me apologise for the fact that they are historically known to be unreliable. I cannot promise they will work for you in a reliable and consistent way. We did resolve this issue. But users preferred things how they work now. So these remain as is.

I too have not received a couple of email notifications today about new posts to threads I am subscribed to.
I don't understand the "But users preferred things how they work now." I have found the default thread subscription option very useful. Is that what you are saying is unreliable and will remain as is?

Just wondering if unsubscribing and resubscribing will solve the problem of the missing email notifications? I'll try a bit later, in a rush atm.
