STILL waiting to heat from Nationwide.
Was told on Friday we will definitely hear by COB Tuesday. Called just before COB on Tuesday and was told "Oh, somebody has had their name against the case since the 17th, so nothing has been done yet"
Called again yesterday and was told "We will send another email to Glasgow"
The full app was in, val carried out and all requested docs were with them by the 3rd of Feb.
Since then all the searches for my purchase have come back, all the questions to the vendor have been answered, the management pack has come back for the flat I'm selling and my buyer has had all his questions answered, all his searches done and everybody is ready to exchange contracts.
When this is all resolved Nationwide will be getting one huge complaint.0 -
Afternoon all, just called and someone is scheduled to review our case today, I'm glued to the phone and checking emails every time something pings!
f0xh0les - anything more you can do to bring forward your valuation? I managed to get ours brought forward but had to downgrade it to a basic valuation (enough to satisfy lender)
Berger 3 - I've raised a complaint with our lender over the way they've handled our application, made them assure me it wouldn't prejudice our application, got a letter to say they are investigating my complaint and would respond in approximately 4 weeks! Says it all really!0 -
Argh! Powers of MSE must be working... second I hit post I had this email pop into my inbox
Just to let you know I have today received the valuation report back from our valuers for your application.
This information has been reviewed and at this stage it is all I require to proceed with your application.
I will now pass the application for final sign off and will aim to provide you with an offer of loan as soon as possible
How long is 'as soon as possible!' ?!0 -
about as long as a piece of string?
No luck with the Lender's valuation being brought forward, nobody knows why it is not until 2nd March considering it is an empty property and the EAs have keys.
My buildings survey came back yesterday. The surveyor wont give me an idea of value!!!! What was the point in that??

Quotes from contractors are needed before it can be valued properly.

???????? How long was that piece of string again?????

Sorry for all the posts but... wow! Mortgage approved! Finally!:beer::beer: Just had a call from the underwriter to confirm.
Sorry f0xh0les that sounds pants - I hope your piece of string is as short as ours has been today!
I originally had a valuation date of 29th, but called back lender to say not good enough, they then went out to another valuation firm that they use to see if they could get a better date. I really had to push for it but they did get it. Apparently it's down to the region you are in and surveyor availability.0 -
Yay! Congratulations Shazzer22, fingers crossed all goes well, I don't think moving house is at all stressful, dealing with the mortgage people is the stressful bit.
Off to commission a cctv drains survey, a roofing survey, and get a quote for remedial damp proofing.
