I find the Leeds very cryptic indeed!!!!!0

I've also received a mortgage offer through Leeds Building Society.
I received a letter identical to the "cryptic" one mentioned previously and I'm pretty sure the mortgage offer followed a couple of days afterwards, max.0 -
So situation is....dream house found, Our house sold! Finally after long wait the chain is complete. Now applied for the meaty mortgage 😁 through our broker (whole of market) Natwest recommeded as husband is mainly commision based salary. AIP done 1/10/15. As we are porting current mortgage so application had to be done on paper and I am guessing was sent via carrier pigeon
Second credit search done 9/10/15 via Equifax so the bird got there!
Spent all weekend going insane reading and re reading forum and trying to second guess the outcome??? Rational thoughts know that nothing I read or anything anyone can say will change the outcome? Yet here I am posting as I am just going crazy Grrrrr.
Anyone else sharing in this madness? I am even seeing adverts natyes as a sign!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hi monobrow......I share your waiting aswell as others.....we applied to natwest and relatively quickly till Friday always best checking with them for update even if you gone through broker as they mistakenly didn't pass onto next department which is sending offer out....they sending our offer out wed so we should receive it thurs fri......they were very apologetic on the phone and reassured everything has passed.....hoping everyone receives good news this week:) x0

Our broker has come back to us this morning to say the valuation has been instructed, and asking for a couple more bits from us for the underwriter (P45 from my last job, and a couple of extra bank statements). Broker seems to think valuation is a good sign but I can't find much info on Precise online and how they work so refusing to get too excited yet- it's not over till it's over! Good luck for everyone waiting for news this week!0

Hi Connor,
Even with the delays what was your time line?
I am thinking I'll give the broker a push mid week?
It's early days for us but the suspense is killing me!!!
Good everyone else suffering with their lives in the hands of the underwriters!!! :eek:0 -
I would say from application going into underwriters to money taken from bank for valuation I would say a week once money was taken the valuation was done same day.0

Great thank you any day now then? I'll keep checking! Hope yours comes through soon!?0

Congrats Connor73 - we've gone for a NatWest mortgage (advised by our Broker) and we're waiting to hear back any day now!
We reserved a new build about a month ago.
AIP agreed with NatWest 14/09
Meeting with Mortgage Advisor 17/09
MA advised TSB would be better but AIP declined.
Went back to NatWest, full application submitted 18/09
Valuation instructed 25/09
Valuation done 01/10.
Help to Buy ATP given and Valuation all OK 05/10
Expected updated on 07/10 and 09/10, nothing either time.
09/10 MA has "escalated" our case as we were initially scheduled to exchange today by NatWest seem to be taking their time to give an update/offer.
Everything so far has gone smoothly and we're confident of getting the offer, it's just this final wait that's agonising - I could handle it when I knew we were weeks away from an offer, but knowing it could come any day now is nail-bitingly tense!
Have emailed the MA, and if I don't get an update soon I will chase NatWest directly.
Fingers crossed for all those with applications in!0 -
Thanks monobrow.....we also buying a new build DGE199....and help to buy accepted.....just waiting anxiously for offer they said Tuesday be done ( must be the day they write them up)....then posted 1st class so hopefully we'd ...hope you don't have to wait too long .....yes I agree until got offer in hand it's a very sleepless, nervous wait0
