We have a slightly unusual employment set up as partner is basing it on his pay rise letter as of September . ( We have done this previously and been ok) . I am also term time only worker so I don't get a wage August as my hourly rate throughout the year adds on holiday pay which I save for the holidays .

Sick to my stomach EVERYDAY I am a worrier naturally so reading here to keep my mind occupied. X
    Good luck all X

We got our mortgage approved yesterday with Nationwide. We’ve had a long few years clearing debts and building income and I never thought we’d get here so very relieved at the moment!
House sale/purchase progress (we're selling our rental property and currently living in rented so no pressure to complete both on the same day).

2/6 - Accepted offer on our house.

15/6 - AIP in place with Halifax
18/6 - Offer accepted on our dream home!
    19/6 - Solicitors instructed
23/6 - Broker applied for AIP with Nationwide to allow us 23 years due to hubby's age - AIP referred!
    24/6 - AIP approved
5/7 - Full application finally in with Nationwide & valuation booked within 2 hours
    6/7 - Valuation
12-13/7 - Hard credit searches on both of us with TransUnion (Credit Karma)
    13/7 Hard search Equifax (ClearScore)
14/7 Proof of deposit requested in a different format
19/7 Gifted deposit form requested for non-sale part of the deposit - funds were from some inheritance, not gifted - deed of variation sent.
2/8 Text and email saying offer issued, details to follow in the post!

    21/9 Exchanged on both properties
    24/9 Completed on sale
14/10 Due to complete on purchase
  • Well I am back here again. Had an offer accepted in April and a full mortgage offer with Coventry.  Seller pulled out last week as they no longer want to move and we have since found another property which had an offer accepted on Friday for 5k more than previous offer. Does anyone know will it be a full new app or can Coventry amend the mortgage offer to reflect the new property?

Good luck to everyone waiting for offers!

I would think it likely that you'd have to reapply. Mortgage offers are usually valid for 90 days. I've had one extended before when it was going to run out but we were within touching distance of completion. I think if you're back at the start of the journey they'll probably need you to do a new application.

The good news is that you know what to expect this time round and as long as your circumstances are pretty much the same, you're likely to be accepted again.

I have been reading through this thread, and have found all of the responses really helpful, so thought I would add mine.

    Timeline:
22/11/21- offer accepted on a property
27/11/21 - DIP issued and full mortgage application sent with West Bromwich BS
29/11/21 - mortgage broker returned with some additional information needed - this information was sent to West Bromwich BS
2/11/21 - Survey and valuation took place
2/11/21 - mortgage broker called to inform us that property had been downvalued by £10k
2/11/21 - revised offer put into estate agents
3/11/21 - revised offer accepted by sellers and sent to mortgage broker who informed the lender

Since the 3rd we have just been waiting for an update. I have been chasing my broker but we have heard nothing yet. He told me last week that our application was now in underwriting, and given west broms estimated timeline from application to offer of 16 days, we should expect a reply by the end of this week really. Fingers crossed!
  • My timeline is very similar to yours, application in on 22/10 and still waiting an offer from HSBC.
