-Loads and loads documents requested
-Valuation 03/09/20 and okay
-Then more documents requested
-Its now a waiting
-It's been 25 working days and no end in sight

Does anyone know how long it takes for the solicitors searches to go through? I.e local searches etc

Solicitor searches only took a few days in my case I no people say it can take weeks but I was surprised how quick they were done.

Ahh hopefully it will be the same for us. We got our mortgage offer through yesterday but didn’t pay the local search charges until we got the offer on the advise of our MA. Would ideally like to be in by the end of the month but not sure how realistic that is

Depends where you are I think. I googled the local authority i’m buying in and length of time for searches. Was 15 working days.

Congrats! My MA is pretty confident so I instructed my solicitors already. I’m hoping by the time offer comes the searches will be back.

Just googled mine and it’s saying you can get it back in 5 days! Not sure if the was from pre covid. I’d be happy to get them back In 2 weeks.

08/09 - MA needed to ask a few questions to the policy team because I’m buying my dad out of his share of an inherited property. This will be our main residential property
09/09 - Payslips & Statements sent 
12/09 - Valuation booked for 25/09 that’s the earliest they’ve got. Has anyone had an offer pending valuation from Halifax?

I think that must mean you have an on site valuation they do alot of automated ones but they are pretty instant - ours was valued by halifax automation 240k less! So we had to provide an on site surveyor ourselves, they are now asseseing the report.
We werent given an offer pending valuation but have been told its the last thing needed, the wait is unbearable!

Nothing since. The wait is agonising!!

Update from broker on Friday, it has gone to underwriting for final checks?

Nothing regarding the valuation, system still states ‘valuation instructed’, and EA has not been contacted??

In other news..... our buyer officially pulled out on Friday morning (but it was really mid Aug, just decided radio silence was best) 
We had an offer Friday afternoon but our EA doesn’t want to mark it as sold until our mortgage offer is in, as the offer has come from someone in another chain who wanted my place before we sold it the first time. 

Also, my vendors EA  have give me a week to sell before remarketing the house i want.
