Does anyone know the time from mortgage offer to receiving it in the post / solicitor receiving their version?Halifax examples would be great thanks 👍0 -
Hi everyone, I've been reading this thread for a few weeks and thought I'd finally contribute because my mortgage application is developing and I'm getting nervous! I'm a young FTB, sole applicant, want to borrow 75k, 70% LTV. It's been a tricky process as I'm currently a PhD student – I receive a tax-free stipend and lenders don't really like this, as it's not considered proper income, plus it's technically a temporary position (although you think a 3 year guaranteed income would be good) . I've been working with a broker and finally got an application in at a small building society and things look positive so far according to the discussions she's had with the lender.
06/08 - Applied for DIP and referred
07/08 - DIP approved and full application went in
11/08 - Query regarding a bank account I don't use, answered
13/08 - Query regarding some income and deposit, answered
Now we wait! Fingers crossed!!!0 -

Thanks guys! I don’t like to show off but having waited 18 weeks for a mortgage offer in 2018 believe me I have been where some of the posters here have been!
And it was with Barclays! They seem either really long winded or super quick, nothing in the middle. Our case wasn’t exactly simple, apart from our income.Hang in there people!0 -
Just looked at the Santander timeline and they are responding to MB messages from monday today. Our replies to queries were sent on Wednesday so looks like they won't even be looked at until Monday. Hoping for the valuation report back early next week too. Beginning to get impatient now!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0

@Drawingaline how long did it take from application to getting your survey done? Did you receive a text message ? We submitted our application with Santander on Tuesday but have heard nothing other than they have received our application0
