Ours is a Scottish application also, but no valuation update and all our documents are still awaiting approval 🙄 applied same date as youhughes1497 said:Would love to hear what people think of my situation!14th July - application submitted
17th July - valuation schedules and provided same day (Scottish home report)
24th July - requesting further documentation (provided same day)
28th July - documentation still outstanding even though provided
5th August - called nationwide myself for update as MB is useless, apparently he uploaded document again yesterday so case has been put to back of queue for review. Current service levels are 8 working days for document review. I’m so stressed. We were supposed to complete on 7th August (this Friday) but no chance of that happening

Our MB is beyond useless and all the updates above have came from me calling nationwide otherwise he wouldn’t give us updates. I’m struggling to trust him going forward but I’m trying to persevere so will try that. Thanks for the advice!thaddy said:
If you tell them your completion date can they not escalate your case? It may be worth asking your MB to speak to a business development manager to see if they can fast track it. We live in the property we are trying to purchase so I guess there's no real rush.hughes1497 said:Would love to hear what people think of my situation!14th July - application submitted

It’s stressful isn’t it! The guy we bought our house from wanted a quick sale too. I just hope he doesn’t pull out. I hope you hear back soon!khtaylor said:

Yes it definitely is! Tbf I think sellers will be silly to pull out because the buyer is waiting on a mortgage offer. It looks like banks are slow across the board at the minutehughes1497 said:

I agree - and I just hope he is happy to preserve for another couple of weeks if not sooner so we can complete! As a FTB, this whole process has been very stressful especially as I am doing it alone.khtaylor said:

I don’t know if I’m being unreasonable but I’ve asked my mortgage broker to escalate the case with the lender as it’s been 3 weeks in a row we’ve been promised news by the end of the week. I want some assurances this time...0

Think it’s a good idea , don’t understand how they can do mine in 9 days yet yours so much slower ! Only difference being the valuation. I’m rooting for you still !SierraRomeo30 said:I don’t know if I’m being unreasonable but I’ve asked my mortgage broker to escalate the case with the lender as it’s been 3 weeks in a row we’ve been promised news by the end of the week. Thank you Trickster! I don’t really know what the hold up is to be honest, we both are employed in stable jobs not affected at all by Covid 🤷♀️0

I’ve just spoken to NW in live chat and they said all the info they have is that the property my not be suitable to lend against and someone will contact us soon. Our MA hasn’t got in touch yet so we have no idea what the issue is. It’s never ending.0

Certainly not being unreasonable! I hope you get it sorted soon. Are you with NW also?SierraRomeo30 said:I don’t know if I’m being unreasonable but I’ve asked my mortgage broker to escalate the case with the lender as it’s been 3 weeks in a row we’ve been promised news by the end of the week.
