@watch3r you were right about valuation timescales... instructed 22.07, survey not till 07.08 arrgghh. Approved subject to but won’t be able to relax for another 2 weeks... meh
  • I have been following your posts about Accord.

They asked us about 2 DDs and for a p60 and now gone quiet.

    This isnt fun!
Not fun at all! We’ve not heard anything, no questions, nothing. Eek, makes me anxious they’re going to have some tomorrow and then we’ll go back to the bottom of the pile. When did you submit your application?
Last wednesday. So for them to come to us with questions i guess they have looked at it.

Just worried our buyers get fed up waitin on us.
  • FTB here also. Our timeline so far:
22nd July - Mortgage application submitted - text confirmation
22nd July  - Confirmation that a valuation has been booked for the 28th July
23rd July - Clearscore showing that a financial associated has been added to my credit report - Does this mean the application is approved?
24th July - MA asked for latest payslip as we both got paid after the application was submitted - sent across
28th July - Assuming valuation has been done. we havent heard any different from NW or MA.

today (30th) we are still waiting on word from NW or MA to confirm if the valuation was satisfactory or not. Is this a good or bad sign? I dont want to chase our MA just yet as the valuation was only completed yesterday. We havent been asked for any further documents so not sure if this a good sign either. Havent seen a hard search on my credit report yet - not sure on my partners.
Nervous that things arent going to go through as I've heard NW are being strict on all applications.

I’ve emailed our MB today but she’s always extremely slow at replying and I’m getting worried something has gone a wrong. I can’t even track it online myself as it’s done via a MB. Any suggestions?

Our valuation was on 24 July and we only heard through the broker today that there was a query on the property value so I would probably wait for an update from your broker. If she hasn't replied give her a call on Monday to ask for an update. Here is the link to Nationwide timescales

  • So nice to hear about the successful mortgage offer for some - gives hope to some of us still waiting. In with Santander - timeline;

July 9 - DIP and Full application with documents attached
July 10 - documents accepted and application passed to underwriters
July 21st - request for additional documents
July 22nd - documents sent and accepted and passed back to underwriter
July 24 - physical survey completed
July 27 - request for additional info. Sent same day and accepted. Passed back to underwriter
July 29 - survey report recieved

now waiting for decision... so frustrating

    Which lender?
  • Well we are going absolutely mad with Nationwide and our broker. Last update was that we should receive our offer on Monday. It never happened - waiting for the financial disclosure to be reviewed.

It's a new build so the developer confirmed they sent the document on Monday. We thought they did this on Friday!
Today the update from the broker is that their system went down and they couldn't check.
Definitely starting to effect my health!
  • Got out offer with HSBC today!
    90% LTV, employed, self employed.
    Application 3rd of July
    Valuation 9th of July
Extra docs requested 14th of July
Pressured MA and got it escalated on the 29th
Today underwriter asked for SIGNED accounts, sent within the hour.
Received offer in the afternoon, should have the offer in the post the next 7 days.

All in all took 4 weeks since application, partly because of self employment.
