I recently opened an account with them, which involved them sending me a couple of emails aparently asking me to "confirm" details. On closer inspection they actually meant "check these details and contact us if they are wrong".

I've since closed my account with them, because the set-up process didn't give me confidence in them.

Use their London number 020 3478 5319 (though you'll still 'bounce' to India at least the calls will be cheaper). I've commented in another recent ICICI thread so I won't repeat myself here.

Suffice to say I decided to ditch ICICI before transferring the balance of my savings (opened a/c with only £1 just to get it up and running first)

I'm with WobblyDog "set up process didn't give me confidence in them".
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.

a chap at my local branch was so unhappy with their service he revisited the branch by car...as in, he drove it to the counter. incredible.

i've never had an account with them. but if they did something special, rate-wise, i'd have a good look at them.

Yep, they have proceeded without my authorization and said my account is live. I really don't like this as they have taken £1 from my account without me choosing to proceed. I can't trust them with £3000 can I.

I replied to their email and it bounced back as delivery failure. Just sent them another email to a legit address. More worrying, they now have my bank details.

    No response from them.

Doesn't anyone here feel the same about them or is it just me ?
