If you get a big tree try and use rope or string and nail it to a wall....preferably two if you can place it in a corner. When I had two kitten same age they literally ran up a big tree and whole thing would be over and trashed.....lol

We live in a small flat :rotfl: and usually just had a small 3ft fake tree.

Last Christmas, we put the tree in the corner, and tied it to the ceiling and both walls. About 3 days after Christmas, in bed one night I heard a loud clatter, and then the two kittens came running upstairs at full speed and shot straight under the bed. I went downstairs to see what had happened, and discovered the tree in pieces, one bit hanging from the ceiling, another suspended in mid air by the hooks on the wall, and the bottom lying on the floor, with next to no decorations still on any of it.
Last week, I found a bauble behind the TV unit. Needless to say, there will be no tree this year!

Aaaah theses stories take me back to the delightful days of having kittens. I used to have a drawer divan and one loved to lie on her back and stick her claws in the hessian underneath then drag herself around - usually when I was in bed!!! Then one day she made a hole big enough to get in and I had to put up with regular thumps squeaks and miaows as she ran around inside the base.
Also her and her sister used to do the wall of death around the living room they ran so fast that they ran on the back of the settee (not the top or seat) sounding like a herd of elephants when they jumped onto the floors.
    Happy days
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)
  • Give the ball of fluff a ball of yarn.
    - I do hope you meant only under supervision? Unfortunately kittens have strangulated themselves playing with balls of yarn and only found when it was too late.

Re the climbing up nets and humans - I sympathise but have never found a solution. Seems to get better when they get older until they have a mad moment..........
