Chuck orris, I am delighted to hear you have a new dog, and a dog who is so obviously in the right home.
Thanks, you know that first night (and week) my wife and I looked at each other and wondered 'what on earth have we done, taking this apparently mad dog on'. Although I do think that feeling was made worse by still grieving for Mills. But in only a couple of months he has has changed so much. I dread to think how he was previously treated because now he is rapidly becoming a perfect dog. I've never seen such a happy dog, he is a real joy to be with.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I think sometimes its not even that the treatment is so bad its that the communication is so poor that the dog feels totally isolated and while it 'acts out' and the owners fail to communicate severe thing gets worse and everyone, especially the dog, gets unhappier and more and more 'badly behaved'. All without 'true
Y horrific' abuse . There is a reason I choose the breeds I have.. I have grown up with the one group and think about their needs quite instinctively easily,. And the littl'un is as near to that group as one in his group can be (cross over in the background
)
I love gun dogs, but I'd not be a great gun dog ownermy dogs and I are a good fit. Usually.:rotfl:

While I do agree to an extent you did come across a bit preachy and holier than thou. Everybody's circumstances are different.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I also say to you go back and read it again, it has changed to:chucknorris wrote: »Sorry to hear of your troubles. That's why my post uses the past tense "did" not the present tense "do".
Sorry to hear of your loss and kudos to you for rehoming again so soon. I would be lost without our 2 rescue greyhound.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Because the use of 'did' would still be valid whether I had changed it or not, I was unaware that you had noticed the change.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
I own a kennels and cattery.We adore animals, and I know they are all your fur babies! We would never raise a hand to a dog or cat here. BUT...it is a hectic job, we have a playpen area, where some dogs go to be off lead and free, its not massive but it does have a few car tyres arranged so they can climb over them. That is it, its safe..they go in there whilst I clean out there pen if they have messed or weed everywhere, so therefore they are unsupervised when in there, if I had to stand and watch them, I couldn't clean them!..But on saying that, if a customer did not want there dog in there, I would not bloody put their dog in there! If something did happen like this, excuse the pun, but owner has no leg to stand on! We have a policy if something accidental happens here, we pay for it, if your animal is on its last legs and poorly when they come in, its your bill.
As for someone not using them unless in emergency, w ehave turned away many people who have emergency, and they do not have their dog vaccinated to date..so do think about that one.
I also hardly used kennels as I had family or they came with us, but being on the other side now, they love it here! They are awake most of the day, watching each other, they pick uo the routine very quickly, the little ones are the feisty ones, and they actually do enjoy the change. I bet they all sleep when they get home.
