We involved our MP years ago and to be honest he was about as much use as a chocolate teapot! The only thing that did happen was that he got copies of our file really quickly as I believe the CSA have to respond to enquiries from an MP within a short period of time.
  • To be honest I think the MP's are reluctant to lose any income that is brought in by the Government through the CSA regardless of who pays it. Its making their collection figures look good & that's' all they seem concerned with! We shouldn't have to pay twice (made up arrears) and pay ,when liability should have ended, while the 'dead beats' who've never paid anything for their children get off scot free !

As someone who has appeared recently, and not had the benefit of getting to know the users of the forum and there problems, this is the kind of attitude that hurts the CSA...

Are you actually serious with that question...???

I suggest you actually read some of the posts and threads this user has posted in, to see how many times this has been reported to the CSA before you come along with such comments, then maybe you will understand just why this forum exists...!!!

As i have said before, there are already staff past and present from the DWP and CSA on here, and they read and know the members who post here with problems, there help is generally sound advice and not something that just comes out of a text book you are expected to read from...

Maybe some good advice for you would be to sit back, read the forum regularly, do NOT post, and take maybe 3 months to understand how and why this place exists...

And the whole process works because there is no script from the CSA, it is users and others who actually have some common sense who reply normally...!

Not saying you would not be a help in the future, but jumping in as you are is only going to upset people, cause confusion to many, and give the CSA an even worse name as you are so blatant about what you are here to do...

There is far more experience on here about what happens than you give the collective forum credit for, and you are condescending with some of your replies at best...

    Just so you know...

Many will not speak there mind, i WILL, so if i upset you, so be it, but i do believe this is sound advice if you really do want to help...!!!

I asked if it had been reported to the child benefit agency, not the csa. Id be interested to know what they made you do in terms of proving she wasnt a QC, a letter stating she got kicked out of college doesnt mean she cannot enroll onto a new course for example, how is this 19 year old supporting herself? If shes on bens she will not class as a QC, same as working, so unless she sits at home idle she cannot be classed as such.
  • we've reported to ch/ben,CSA ,ben fraudline all over 6 months ago and before. CSA aren't interested, Ch/ben quote Data protection bearing in mind these are equally his 'children'. A young person under 18 wont get benefits in their own right and the pwc hasn't encouraged any independence like getting a job . It's not just us having to pay CSA its a matter that the pwc also claims tct.wtc & all that goes with it which tax payers are having to pay out on while she makes the fraudulent claim! Makes you laugh to hear Gov talking about austerity ..well here's some you could save on for a start!

And my answer is if you had been around here long enough to know, you would know it has been reported numerous times to both agencies, this is why reading other posts is helpful, and not just assuming...!!!

I stand by what i say about lurking for a while and reading without posting, and you will soon understand who is who and what the issues are...

It is really insulting, and very CSA like to have to keep going through the same issues and getting the same answers...

If it is NOT a qualifier, and there is a letter from the college stating the child was kicked of the course, then ONE of the qualifiers has not been met, yet in this case, the claim is still live because the other qualifier is deemed enough yet is not in legislation as being a qualifier, so it should be down to the PWC to prove attendance at education, yet the NRP is still paying... You see the irony of how you look when you don't know the full story...??? And after you gave the info you gave you make the CSA sound incompetent...!!!

I would be screen dumping and using this as a way of proving incompetence on behalf of the CSA to manipulate my payments due... And then when i eventually got my day in court i would want proof provided that YOU had been investigated on this forum so as to ascertain if indeed you are an employee, and if you where, i would want YOU in court as well...

You can't mess with peoples lives with no consequences, and if you are a troll, then i would disappear as quickly as you appeared...

    Just sayin... :D
  • As mentioned, a letter stateing a child has been kicked out of college does not mean she hasnt re-enrolled into another course, it just means the course she was on she isnt on anymore, you can "screen dump" all you want to the csa, and after they stopped laughing, they would tell you the same as what i will, you have no proof i work in the csa, you dont know my name, i could be a plumber for all you really know, so grow up.

@cally, what did they say in reguards to data protection?

@ csaworkerx They said we would not be able to know any of the information that they find out because it would breach the DP laws but my husband was only asking about the children not any details about the pwc and they are still 'half' his and he should have equal rights to that information surely( he is on the birth certificate !) I guess the only way we would find out is when they decide to say liability has ended( which it should have done months ago !)

Schools are a very complicated area...

I had an issue regarding my sons secondary school when he 1st started, the school was instructed by my ex to give no details or confirm he was already attending, my answer was court paperwork with parental responsibility provided to the school, and a letter stipulating that if the information was withheld, that legal acton would be taken against the school as the court had already ruled i had the RIGHTS to know...!!!

The school can NOT exclude you, they can however refuse to contact you at further expense to themselves as they are legally only responsible for notifying once... WHich they tried as well, and where very quickly, 30 seconds provided with already prepared stamped addressed envelopes so they could not deny...

The problem starts when they are NOT classed as a child, and then neither parent has the right to know.. Unfortunately, a child in the eyes of education is not a child in the eyes of the CSA which is where problems start...

The definition needs to be consistent across the board, and mean the same in every manner, so a child for abuse, CSA, school, army, etc etc...!!! You do not get to pick and choose a definition to suit your needs... Or you shouldn't be able too...

With dp laws, its understandable you wouldnt get any info about the pwc, alltho surely they will tell you why CB is still in payment?
