I reckon you've had a lucky escape as the stripy ones are not very cool.

Boo. I purchased one, (they look much nicer in real life, honest)!

I am your average consumer, 2.3 kids, average salary, suburban semi etc etc. I'm right down the line on all things average, and it caught me so it's there to catch people, (IMO).

2.3 Kids? Where did you get the extra .3? Or worse, what happened to the .7?

Just because you tick some 'average' statistical boxes doesn't mean you are the model for an average consumer. And just because you were 'caught out' (by your own lack of attention to the detail of the offer) does not mean the offer was designed to catch people.

The stripey tee's would be a different price point. The stripey Tee's don't have a graphic in them saying 3 for £18. I conclude the OP is a bit thick.

The plain ones are great colours- I may pick some up myself.

Even the world's smartest people have made mistakes ;)

However if you learn something from it, its is no longer a mistake and becomes experience instead :D

Exactly this. Does the op really think when this promotion was come up with they had a meeting at head off working out how to catch people out?

This would have then need to be communicated to the stores to display it like this, put the signs here & here, it will catch people out.

    I don't think so!

No you're right. No shop would ever do this. I shall slap myself on the wrist right now.

Having worked in retail for nearly 16 years, I always read the small print, I've seen it catch out so many people. For instance when we had sales on, there would be signs outside saying 'Up to (in very small writing granted) 50% off' and people would come in expecting 50% off everything, and you then had to point out that it was 'up to 50% off' and they'd be like, "that's a con" Well, no it isn't....read the small print!

There was no small print. My mistake, (which the good people on here have already slapped me down for), was to not notice that the striped shirts on the end rack were slightly higher priced.
