I have Talk Talk, the line is a BT line.
I am with PlusNet and have my line rental with BT, the question asked was whether they could go to Plusnet and keep their line rental with BT as the Landlady will not allow them to change the line rental from BT to another company.0 -
Plusnet are part of the BT Group, all be it a separate part, there fore the line will stay with ( a division of) BT retail, just as it would if it was with full fat BT.
regardless of which the physical cable part will remain under the jurisdiction of BT Openreach (BTOR)0 -
Taking your line rental from PN does not involve a change of line, it's still a non-LLU service (since they run on BT and are owned by BT).
There would be no issue switching line rental back to BT at the end of the tenancy (if required).
Except BT would probably charge a heap to change it back. Best not to move it in the first place.
I too am a BE customer thinking of moving to Plusnet. My line is a BT line but with IDNet but am thinking of moving it all to Plusnet to save money.0 -
BT do not charge anything for a return to donor. You simply have to take 12m line rental.
In this case it's still a BT-based line, not LLU, so that issue does not arise. No free lunch, and no free laptop

No, TT do not do broadband only. You must take your line rental and calls from them as well.
This is because TT are an LLU provider. PN are just BT resellers. You can't have the two from different providers on an LLU lineNo free lunch, and no free laptop

This has been shown to be an unfair contract term. As such it is unenforceable. Assuming you are on an AST you choose your utility providers not the landlord/lady.This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0 -

But I'm sure I remember getting something through the post last year about it ending in August sometime.
Your contract doesn't end until you give notice (30 or 14 days). You simply come to the end of your minimum term and the contract then continues.
Perhaps you should check your post if you need to know an exact date?No free lunch, and no free laptop
