VM congestion problems can be very granular - right down to street level. The only way to know if it is going to be any good or not is to check with any neighbours on it once you're in or at least know exactly where you'll be living. When it's bad it can be really dire. There is a 28 day satisfaction guarantee. If it's poor then cancel and do not under any circumstances accept promises of jam tomorrow as with VM tomorrow can be a very long time coming.0

Thank you for your advice and opinion, this was the reason for me cancelling my order, i really cannot afford to not have broadband and especially very slowed down BB, but can it really be that bad.
as i think now, they were planning on giving me upto 60mbs fire optic can they really slow that down to dire level?
as my BT order they are quoting me 17mbs as an average. no way VM would go down to that would they?0 -
with VM its very dependant on area.
if you are in an oversubscribed area, then you end up having to share with alot of people which can slow things down, especially if alot of the people in the area use a lot of bandwidth.
if you are not in an oversubscribed area, you will get the full 60mb without any problems0 -

Thanks, i am in Central London and i did to scan of the VM services via Wifi Check in the close neighbour hood and the my wifi finder only find 1 other person (not the most accurate of tests i have to admit)
is there an web or app i can check to see how many people are subscribed to VM in my area?0 -

if you had a choice would you choose ADSL from BT package or would you go with VM 60 XL package?
by the way i live in central london (if it makes any difference)
also if i called up VM and asked them to re-activate my account and ask for the same package and price what are my chance of getting the same package?
As it happens, neither. But you're not comparing like with like. You can only compare VM cable service with FTTC, if available. Not with ADSL.No free lunch, and no free laptop
