  • Just catching up on your diary. Sorry to hear you have had a few set backs but glad you are sounding positive and planning your future.

I have to disagree with you though, a terry's chocolate orange IS one of your five a day (well that's what I have been telling myself for years :rotfl:)

And when you break a piece of chocolate in half, all the calories fall out. :).

Glad you are back on the boards, think we all take our eye off the ball especially when your DF journey is a long one.

Terry's is one. Wine another as is fruity cider :o
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

  • I've been going through my accounts with a fine tooth comb and the debt is a little higher than I thought, not by much but I want it all right. I also need to find some money for my holiday, I'm visiting my best friend in Russia over new year, the flights have been given as a Christmas pressie and we'll be staying at his place so no hotels to pay for. I reckon £300 will cover spends, my visa and train to Gatwick, I'm going to need to invest in some long johns too as it'll be about minus 20! Whilst the holiday is an expense it has rejuvenated me somewhat and given me a good goal to have blasted some debt by

So the total new figure is £10,781.62 .

    Making money:
Ebay/Amazon pretty much everything, I've sorted out a box of unused premium beauty products (I had a serious Glossybox et al addiction) that should net me a couple of hundred. Also books, CDs, DVDs and lots of other odds and ends. My mum said she would sort out some bits for me too.
My businesses: this is the big way to make money, I aim to focus on this round the clock making, selling, creating new products and places to sell.
In the run up to Christmas my focus is going to be all business and a little eBay but if things taper in the NY I am going to look at other avenues such as mystery shopping, daily clicks, swag bucks etc.

    Saving money:
Aiming to limit to essentials only, namely petrol and toiletries. Although given the amount of shampoo, conditioner etc I have I should be able to get though months before I need anything beyond deodorant and hair dye (yes it is essential to cover up the badger stripe).
    Give up diet coke :o.
Quit smoking: I have one of those vape e-cigs and I'm going to start using it.
    No booze .

I think breaking it down into little goals will help so I'm giving myself 3 weeks from today to get £1k off the total and 7lbs off my wobbly belly. :rudolf:
    £10781.62 by 23/04/2014 :rudolf:
    Current goal: £1000/£0 7lbs/0lbs
    Total Today: £10781.62 / £0 paid off

  • Things to do this week:

Force myself into a routine, up at 7, dressed and breakfast by 8 working by 8.30. I'm going to stick to regular mealtimes too as I'm all over the place. Do a daily list of tasks to be accomplished so I'm not all over the place.
Mornings: packing, posting, accounts, photographing and listing.
Afternoons: making things/sorting things to be listed.
Evenings: doing banners, web pages, setting up new shops etc. ordering boring stuff like packing materials - all the stuff that once it is done/into a routine will require minimal work.
Set up desktop and get business SS off it, make sure they are all up to date and fill in daily.
5 non business related listings every day.
    4 NSD.
No diet coke, booze or cigs to be purchased.
Use the Wii fit through the day.
Drink a bottle of water on top of my normal tea etc.
Cancel TV license for my old place as I'm staying here a while.
Send off licence/ car docs for change of address.
Book at least 2 craft fairs and rope SIL in to help.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it :o.

Hey, just dropping by to say hi! Those e-cigs are supposed to be great, I don't smoke but a friend who smoked tons is now on the e-cigs and loves them. He still spends money on them but at least it's healthier :)

I like your idea of a daily to-do list, I have a tendency to faff (MSE forums are not helping, admittedly!), perhaps I ought to try that... Sounds like you have a great plan sorted now. Good luck!!!

I am also in possession of a badger stripe by the way, but I'm trying to cultivate mine :rotfl:
