Just a quick one tonight as I'm hot, bothered and rather smelly!
Been rushing around sorting the place out, I gave my LL much more notice than required as shes been really good and she asked if it was OK to send some agents around to value the place. I agreed then realised my home is full of clutter and needs a good spring clean, so I've been rushing around trying to get everything done. Got to tidy the garden too. It needed to be done anyway as I've been so busy I've only been doing the basics but I wanted to be debt busting
.
On a good note I logged into my Top Cash Back account and there is £13.37 sitting there :T, I've added my bank details and will pay it off the debt when it arrives.
Then I drove my friend into Newcastle as he has a medical for a Visa certificate. I barely know Newcastle and normally get the train, plus I hate driving in strange cities. We found our way to Gosforth eventually and I got very excited going over the Tyne Bridge. But on the way out it was heaving and we got totally lost, the signs were dreadful and we went all over the place. As the only Geordie I know I'm holding PLMBL responsible and expect the situation be rectified a.s.a.p. Lots of Newcastle did look lovely though so I'll give you a gold star for that
My friend picked me up some shopping in Asda to say thanks so that's some money saved too.
Got to go shower as my car doesn't have air-con and I may pass out if I accidentally sniff my armpits. Max strength deodorant definitely needs to be part of the budget

I apologise on behalf of my people :rotfl::rotfl:
If you've ever watched Geordie Shore you will know we can be a bit dense
.
I don't live far from Gosforth, we could have met up! Sounds like you've been to my workplace already

I luffs Geordie Shore
.
I thought Gosforth was lovely! I saw some (closed - was probably for the best) shops that I'd love to mooch in. Just getting there wasn't so much fun, some of those roundabouts were far too small and getting across was a danger sport! The Regent Centre car park isn't something I'd like to experience again either _pale_.
I have been to your workplace
, it was proper posh compared to ours! You even had Egg Pasta, I think that's frowned upon in my local Asda in Peterlee, it was also refreshing not to see a single mullet or get stuck behind a sodding horse and cart on the way home. I got some crab pate and sourdough bread for my tea [STRIKE]as someone else was paying[/STRIKE].
I'll get the train up next time and we can [STRIKE]go out for coffee[/STRIKE] have a flask of tea in Gosforth Park

It's a date! Might even stretch to an ice cream from the van

Agree re Regent Centre car park . That's where DH has to go for his [STRIKE]waste of time [/STRIKE]medicals for DWP. Amusing that you think my shop is posh, we are actually a poor relation in the cluster of Newcastle shops!!
I love Geordie Shore too. Only started watching it coz one of them is my cousin's cousin on the other side of her family (follow that if you can!), but now I'm hooked!

[STRIKE]Oh who you related to???? I need the gossip.[/STRIKE] Of course I only watch the show to gain a greater cultural understanding of the North East and to critically analyse the differences between my previous home of the North West, its fascinating from an anthropological point of view don't you think?
Ice Cream - you know how to push all the right buttons
! I'll reciprocate with a tour of rural County Durham. Its easy to take the time to view the sights when you're stuck in a queue behind a tractor. There are sharp minds down here though, the local criminal masterminds only dismantled 40 trolleys at lidl before they twigged that the £1 coins didn't remain in there permanently.
We defs will have to meet up for MSE fun. xx£10781.62 by 23/04/2014 :rudolf:

I had a bit of a double whammy and wobble this morning. First a text from my friend saying how she can't wait to see me at her party this weekend, muggins here had forgotten
. I've reassessed my accounts as it will cost around £80 in petrol and I'll need £10 for a pressie and probably an extra £10 to be safe. Luckily I have a bottle of vodka I was given which I'll bring. I can't miss it as she is a great friend and would be gutted if I didn't come.
I looked into other ways of getting there but the train is over £200  and megabus would take the whole day and still set me back £40 after the buses to the station are added in
.
Then I got a statement for an old account with a monthly charge, I wrote to close the acc 3 months ago and it is still open and charging and now £15 in the red . Luckily it has an agreed overdraft so charges won't be added. I can't remember any log in details so can't ring up and I physically don't have time to go into a branch - plus the nearest is a mission for me to get to with petrol and parking fees. I've paid up £15 to put it in the black and am sending a strongly worded letter of complaint recorded delivery to get the account closed and request the charges refunded.
I could see this wiping out my good work so I've cracked and opened the £2 tin, it had £150 in :T. I've also rejigged my budget as we're further through the month than I thought and now can pay an extra £73.39 off the debt - so it is still heading in the right direction - phew.
Going to toddle off and update my sig now. xx£10781.62 by 23/04/2014 :rudolf:

Been a naughty girl and not updating, its just been too bloody hot! I'm useless in hot weather. I just want to lie in the shade [STRIKE]and drink pimms.[/STRIKE]
Being a good money saver am drinking cheapo pretend Appletise instead, its rather lovely :A. I've made the decision that after tomorrow nights boozefest I am going to lay off alcohol for a while. It's a waste of money and calories. I tried on one of my old summer dresses today and had to relegate it back to the wardrobe for fear of frightening small children
. I have lumps and bumps where none should be and I want to fit into my lovely slim clothes.
I've now finished my work contract, have money due next week and some more due by the end of August. The money coming next week can be split between living costs and debt payments but the August money really needs to be put aside to live off.
So once home on Sunday I need to start hammering eBay, carboots and my own business as well as sorting out the house and my jelly belly. I'm going to take time to sketch out a plan as the moving date is coming up much quicker than I thought and I will be moving into my parents shed if I don't take drastic action
.
Here's to a lovely sunny DFW weekend. xx£10781.62 by 23/04/2014 :rudolf:

Well I'm not feeling my best today
.
The weather was a lot cooler yesterday but is was very humid and I got stuck behind an accident which added 1.5 hours to the journey. By the time I reached the end I was a sticky sweaty mess. It was lovely seeing my friend but she and her friends are all so young, slim and groomed. I felt like a horrid drab lump.
I eased off the booze and enjoyed catching up but was rather tearful after going to bed. It was never meant to be like this and in the early hours I'd fair convinced myself that I was going to live the rest of my life in my parents shed getting fatter and lonelier with 15 cats as my only companions.
I woke to an email from Origins (bloody smartphones) with a wonderful offer bound to make me feel better and before I knew it I'd ordered £40 worth of stuff. Then I stopped in the supermarket on the way home and spent a fortune buying lots of healthy stuff and posh fruit, oh and a pizza because I was hungry and deserved a treat :wall:.
Yes it is truly a mystery as to why i'm overweight and in debt .
I think its time to write a realistic plan and to start it now, not tomorrow.£10781.62 by 23/04/2014 :rudolf:
