About £45,000 if I maxed out my cards, (and I've cancelled 3 cards this year).

£20 left on one O/D, £10 on another, & £50 on my credit card ( but have no PIN so could only use online at a push!)

    so actual cash? £30...very sad....

  • Well ....

Lloyds Credit Card - £9K available
Virgin Credit Card - £4.5k available
Lloyds O/D - Currently maxed out, but £10ks worth as and when i pay it back

Another £183 /month ava on loan if need be, so around another £13k ontop of £4.5k - Total (when loan paid) £17.5k

    So....

£41K of available credit (if debt free)

Kinda like that we have soo many options, its allowed us to help out a family member; because we have a large cash surplus each month from wages etc, its paid back pretty easily.

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Wow, it's quite scary the amount of credit floating around, I never even thought of this before.
I just had a quick check, and I could get a total of £14,300 on credit cards £3600 on my Next account  and I have been 'pre-approved' for a loan from my bank for £10,000. So on top of what I already owe, I could get another £21,230... That 's more than I earn in a year

Thankfully I don't have anything available to me. Chose a current account which won't allow me an overdraft, don't have any credit cards and have too bad a credit rating for anyone to offer me loans!

I consider this a good thing though, if I want something I have to save up for it the old fashioned way :)

Hmmm, well my main CC which is down to about £500 has a limit of £8K, my others are close to their limit with BTs, £100 OD facility on 2 bank accounts (just in case of mis-timed payments!), and about a grand with Next - so just over 8.5 grand!

However, my credit rating is good apparently, so wouldn't have difficulty getting a good sized unsecured loan, car credit etc

    It's truly scary!

  • Having just applied for an Egg Money card, and having been given a £7100 credit limit...in addition to the £7000 limit on my M&S, the £3000 on my Lloyds, the £7000 on my Amex and the £3750 on my Morgan Stanley...PLUS my bank overdrafts of £1000, £1500, £500 and £500...

Balances of £12k leaves, what, £18k already - without asking for any more!

The old me would probably be cruising for something to buy with all that credit, because it's not like it's someone else's money, is it? :wall:
