Thank you Beanie!
And thats true - people on mse have been with me through terrible times, and were right there with me, supporting me during the ins and outs of them. A wonderful, wonderful community. Greying and the people on here are part of that.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Nice to see you Karmacat - I wondered where you'd got to. Do take care of yourself.
Greying - I wish I could employ you as my personal chef. I'm sure I'd be much healthier.

Good Evening :hello:
Well, Dear Reader, I have attempted to come onto this thread several times now this evening, and the funniest of things kept happening, the screen keep going all fuzzy and wavy - like it was raining indoors or something........Make the most of the day indeed.
Life is way too short not too.
Thank you Beanie. The bad news was not what we wanted to hear was it?Indeed it is. I've been off mse for ages, needing to take care of myself as yet another virus whistles through my life. And thank god the tendrils of mse are wound into my life, we need to make the most of the day today, indeed.
One thing that Greying reminded me of, when I started following your thread, Greying, was the three gratitudes, at the end of the day, and even through the lurgy, I've been doing that.
Today, I am grateful for:
- mse. The people I know online, the people I've written to and who've written to me, the people I've met.
- that even though I feel really ill, its nothing, nothing at all, to what other people have been through, for years, which gives me the chance to live my life more fully after I take on board these learnings.
- that because I stayed with a few existing threads, by existing friends, I got to a meet a whole other set of mse people, who are just as beautiful, seeing you guys on Greying's thread.
Wow. I mean seriously wow, Karmacat. This is such a powerful post. Thank you for writing it x

So, finally, Good Evening :hello:
I won't dwell on my day or what we had for dinner this evening if you don't mind. I won't report my NSD/AFD, but will quietly alter my signature later.
I didn't *know* Taxi as such. I'm a relative newcomer to the DFD board, and I've probably told you how it was Karmacat's diary title that 'lured me in' and I've not left since
Taxi was a stalwart on KC's thread - as KC was on Taxi's, so I *knew* Taxi via Karmacat's diary.
My one abiding memory of Taxi is the trip that she organised for her and her beloved JJ to take to LEGOLAND. Taxi organised everything, in true MSE fashion, getting terrific value for money, making sure of the accommodation and that they would see and do everything that they wanted to. The organisation of that trip was as important as the trip itself - which, I seem to remember, was declared a roaring success.
I'm minded of that now, and I'm thinking - on a very sad day - that perhaps that's the important thing to remember. It's not the destination of your journey that matters overall. Because ultimately, do we really have control over that? But if we remember to enjoy, relish, delight in and live the journey, haven't we made a life for ourselves? We'll of been having so much fun, learning so many things and meeting a whole host of interesting travellers along the way, that the destination won't concern us when we reach it.
Thank you so very much for popping in, reading and joining in with me on my journey. I appreciate it more than you will ever know.
RIP Taxi

Taxi was indeed an amazing lady and I'm was really touched that Martin has posted at the beginning of her diary. Thank you Martin.

There was one weird bingo site we were all "working", and you had to walk your avatar to a table and chat with the people on the table. I sat with Hypno and Taxi one day, and thought, well, it doesn't get any better. My one abiding memory of Taxi is the trip that she organised for her and her beloved JJ to take to LEGOLAND.
