New subject....heated throws and men dusting....whatever next... :rotfl:
I'm hoping for heated men and throws for dusting ;):D

I have to say, I'm with Upsidedown Bear on this one - although my version is *hot men and to H3ll with the dusting!!!* :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Besides which, I know that greenbee had Mr H. Keitel in mind with her original suggestion.... dusting The Piano, au naturally.......... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Crikey you wander off for a couple of days and come back to portable bidets (we have one, also called a 'potty' and usually it is filled with lego, so not very hygienic!), men dusting (never happened here) and a variety of subjects.

Hopeful what a stunning post to read. I am so happy you have found something that has worked for you and that you feel at peace and equal to the fantastic person you are. I am sure there is a fella out there just perfect for you, but if there is one thing I have learned over the past year, it is that we women are strong creatures on our own and we don't really 'need' them at all, just enjoy the company!

Christmas... is all about the veggies for me. Roast parsnips, honey glazed roast carrots, carrot & swede mash, mashed potato, roasties with goose fat, tender stem broccoli, brussel sprouts with lardons, creamed leeks, peas and sweetcorn. Lamb because it is my favourite, roasted with rosemary. Mum used to cook Turkey year on year but I cooked it once and decided I am not a fan. Yorkshire puddings, homemade gravy... MMmmmm

    :D xx

  • Dearest greying and chums, of course I won't ever forget or abandon your wonderful thread/community! Any man will need to be vetted and passed decent by you all!

Lilty, what a range of delicious foods! My preferred lunch is a chicken, chipolatas, roast Pots, broccoli, yorkshire puddings(which are amazing with any roast!), home made stuffing and home made gravy made with proper gravy salts which seem tricky to get hold of now. Dessert is home made frozen chocolate Pots with raspberries and perhaps a home made meringue.

This year it's the snacks I'm wanting to really vary and some different desserts. I seem to have gone off the boil on cooking since 2007 when I left him. I'd like to get my mojo back !

Anyhow, have just wasted a fiver watching pompeii the film on prime. It was so bad it was all.most good if you know what I mean. Am off to bed now and not setting the alarm as DD has gone for a sleepover!

Catch up with you all tomorrow. Night night xxx
With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

mcculloch - thank you so much for your posts on this thread - you are brill - you know that don't you? I meant to ask, is that throw (in the box) the one that Ald* sold, didn't Piq have one too? I should have got DP one, the blanket we have on the sofa isn't quite warm enough when it gets really cold, or if he's watching TV for a while.

Yup, sorry for delay in replying. It's the Aldi one, it's already been on Specialbuy for this winter but there just might be one or two lingering in stores. Failing that, a similar model is £40 in Argos.
