miz - thanks for your links too. Very helpful
Right, today....... Um ...... finks very hard...... I did manage to snag a NSD :j I did wander through the m&$ foodall, but there were no YS'd things to catch my attention today..........Oh, and I also had a couple of minutes to kill, so leafed through Ms Monroe's new tome, following mcculloch's hearty recommendation. I only had a quick peek, but I liked what I saw - definitely one to get from the library when they get round to stocking it...... let's hope they go mad like last time and get a few copies..... (less than SAve with JO tho......
)
Dinner this evening was good. I made Ms Monroe's Feisty Soup, I used the recipe from her book, but added in a couple of bendy carrots that needed using up, a small handful of lentils - for an extra protein hit, a bit of paprika, a tsp of sugar, and some salt and pepper. Ironically, Jack revisited her soup recipe this summer, and added in...... 200g of carrots.....To top the soup, I got some natural yoghurt, added dried parsley, salt and pepper and a couple of teaspoons of water to thin it down a little and swirled on top. I sprinkled dried chilli flakes on top, rather than adding a 'fresh' chilli to the soup. To accompany, I made a savoury version of Lily's Scones no sugar, 1 tsp salt, some mixed herbs and pepper and some chopped up jarred red peppers. 10 mins in a 200 deg c oven and you've summat to dunk in yer soup

For 'afters' we had 'free apples' crumble with custard;

Hello GP.
Have been absent and just caught up on the 150... (!!!) new posts!
Some scrummy dinners, puppy news (which I am sooper jealous of) and other fab things. Who knew there were so many epic smilies? Had me giggling every post Upsidedownbear!
Just a quickie as I am still trying to explain myself to YNAB after falling off the wagon this last 2 weeks.I've never seen so much shouty red!
:o:o
Hugs to all! I shall be back when I have sorted myself out. And cut my nails, since they are stopping me typing properly... Oh and taped up the other hinge on my laptop. I am 2 thin wires away from having a tablet and separate keyboard :eek: - I don't think tablets work so well without touch screens... :huh:
Night peeps xx
