and there was me pondering how your burgers look so wonderfully smart when mine always turn out more as a sort of granola scattered across the griddleI make 100g burgers in my el cheapo burger press,
there's a device! - thanks for the lovely thread full of top ideas (all here simply for my entertainment obviously):AA/give up smoking (done)0 -
Hey lobbyludd - I *know* you from lilt's thread
WELCOME
I got my burger press from L*keland, but THIS is exactly the same thing and is less than the price I paid *umpteen* years agoHTH
I do also make burgers/sliders using a biscuit cutter (different sizes). Place the cutter on a slip of greaseproof/baking paper, load up the ring with your burger 'mix' pressing down well (a spoon is definitely your best friend) and then gently lift up the ring - you may have to gently press the burger 'through' IYSWIM. Hey presto, a roundish burger
Best done with the lights on at all times though

All this talk of excursions prompted a memory of my mum saying about two children (probably my two boys) battling in the back of a car "well, they've got too much room" because with five children and two adults in dad's car there wasn't room to move our arms! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Good Morning :hello:
satchmo - and what about cars that had a 'bench' front seat? Could have shoved a fair few extra nippers in the car with one of them pre-seat belt days........ *shudders* Gosh, for some developments in this world, I remain entirely grateful......
Friday already? Where did this week go?
Pizza for dinner
I shall be spending today, so no chance of '3 in a row' nsd gloryThat said, maybe some red wine would be nice to accompany our pizza......
Silver linings and all that......
Right, well, no excuse not to get 'up and at 'em' I guess.
Have a good 'un yerselves
Thank you for popping by, reading and commenting. I remain grateful. Always.
See y'all later.

childhood excursion memories, ah yes, walks with dad, how to climb a tree, vault a gate, find a spring for water, identify trees, plants, birdsong, sandwiches in a greaseproof bag, carried in his pocket, never more than 2-3 miles from home. Trips to the shore with mum, orange squash in a bottle, sandwiches (aka bread and jam) in the waxed loaf paper, making sandcastles and digging moats, collecting 'covins' (l think were winkles) to boil at home for supper. again, about half a mile from home, odd l can only remember 'family' outings to the sports days at lake district venues, probably for hound trails and fell races to be bet on! Sandwiches in biscuit tins and a travel rug to sit on, gosh, I had forgotten them.
Yes, the sun always shone, no l never rowed with my brother, dad never had one too many, and mam was always smiling.0 -
Hi everyone
I hope you don't mind me popping by but Wishus it might be worth you visiting your local tip to see if they have a drawer that will fit. Our tip has all the electrics in one place and they are happy to recycle bits and pieces.

Love, I remember you saying how much you liked courgette risotto last year - gifts are the best eh?
Now whilst it is fantastic that you are staying strong for your friend, No.1 priority must be 'beanie' - OK?
We grieve because we are human. According to all the scientific types 'tis one of the things that defines us. So, allow yourself your wobbly dayAnd whilst I can see folks point of view about 'planning' and seeing their future, and I agree to a certain extent that this brings about things... science, for all living organisms, kinda leans towards the, 'here today, gone tomorrow' ethos.
So, I hear the "ENJOY THE DAY" in your message, beanie which - you know, and I know, is a whole heap of difference away from "burn ya boats today, for you've no idea what the morrow will bring....."
I'll stand wif ya beanie - cherishing the moment and remembering the kindnesses of those passed
