Good Morning :hello:Busymumofthreeplusdog wrote: »..............Sorry that's prob not helpful dear Greying! ...........
But it did make me smile Busymumofthreeplusdog when I thought about where to apply the carrots............ :rotfl:
To be fair, I think DP recognised that he was being less than helpful last night, and did rally round, despite us both being tired, so things look a little rosier this morning. We're no further forward, but at least we're focused on what we have to do.
Our trouble is that not only do we always try to 'put right' all the bodged work that has been done on this house by previous owners (and there is a lot), but we try to make sure that the work we do/get done is done well, which always requires preparation and time...... We got to see a renovation in progress recently, of a house to a similar era to ours. The person is cutting corners to save money and time. But of course, they will sell the property on, and don't really care. As far as we know, we can't sell this house, so have to always do projects as though we have to live with it. Guess that will account for very little if we ever do get to sell. The corner cutter will get as much/as little as we do, but they will get more profit
Should be a NSD today - I've no money!
Dinner this evening will be pizza - I'll probably use up the last of those little sweet peppers that I got in mrT last weekend, so yellow pepper pizza and some wedges, with the last of the YS'd tatties I got in mrM.
Right, I best get up and at 'em.
Thanks for popping by, reading and commenting. Always appreciated.
See y'all later.

Good morning, Greying, and chums,
It's horrible when things don't seem to go according to plan, I know, but I always think it's worth doing a job well, Greying. It costs more but then it's done and you can move on. Otherwise, it might need doing again a few years down the line as you have discovered from the botched work. Take heart, dear friend, it will all come rightYou are the woman for the job!
Have a great day xSealed Pot Challenge #012

LOVE anti-fedder-upper sparkles
:j :j
I too know what you mean about a million jobs having to all be done before each other. We too live in a botched house (and have done a fair bit of botching ourselves over the years, oh dear!) So demoralising sometimes when things seem to go so slowly xx0 -
Good Evening :hello:
Just a quick note from me this evo, as Pipster's 'anti-fedder-upper-sparkles' (patent pending) have clearly done their *thang* and Team Greying is about to embark on task 1 of 102! Therefore, there is a good chance I am not going to be getting back on here tonight.
Thank you for all your kind wishes, which I will respond to.However, I didn't want today to pass without acknowledging my1 YEAR DIARY ANNIVERSARY :j:jI will be honest and tell you that a) I never thought that I would keep the diary up (I'm rubbish at the paper versions), b) I never expected anyone to read and c) I haven't really been prepared for the OUTSTANDING difference keeping a diary on here has made to our lives
Thank you to Beanie for being with me from day 1and thank you to all other contributors, whether you've come to the party later, hopped in and bowed out, or whether you pop in now and again - your support has been invaluable. And can I also take the opportunity to thank the one person who continually supports posts on this thread with their 'thanks' button, but has yet to break cover of lurkdom
Ayeshalush your support of everyone has been brilliant - thank you so much
I'd name check everyone who's been on this thread, because I am so chuffed with you all, but I'm afraid I'm being tempted away from the 'pooter by the lure of lime plaster dust...... YUM! So just take it as read please, I'm thanking YOU - yes YOU, wonderful YOU
It doesn't seem like a year, but we've had fun eh? Here's to the next year  I hope you'll stay around? And as befits the thread - I claimed a NSD today :jThank you so much for reading, commenting and joining in. You've made such a difference. Hi GP. Sorry to hear about fedderupperness. Hope it passes. Happy one year diary birthday. I'm glad you have kept it up. I've had a bit of quiet time but am now back.
