    I have had the same problem for a couple of weeks. I now have to use Opera or Google Chrome, when typing the post the smilies show up as characters, but when published the smileys are there. :(

    Ay up Pipster! Yes, new babbies - wonderful eh? and no, I don't think life can get any better if you've a potato cake vaguely near yer gob :D

    Right, dinner has been scoffed. Jolly nice it was too. Episode 1 of Borgen has been watched. And we're about to start episode 2 :D:D

    Today I am grateful for these 3 things;

    for [STRIKE]begging[/STRIKE] fundraising letters from the National Trust - good to know that it is not just this place falling down around the owner's ears ;):D

    for trouble shooting forums - it's good to know that it's not just me that can't get on with version 11 ;):D

    for chocolate - DP bought some (with his own money) and has just shared some squares :smileyhea

    Thank you so much for popping in, reading and commenting. You know I appreciate it greatly.

    Sorry for the brevity of tonight's post (or are you relieved??? :rotfl:), but I didn't think you'd want to see a pic of bean & lentil chilli and I wasn't sure if I could post in my usual pictorial way, so didn't want to bore you :D Normal service will be resumed tomorrow - watch out! :rotfl:

    See y'all later.

    Goodness, this is where time-travel would have its uses eh? There are some aspects of being 10 again, I would welcome, but for the time being I'll remain being ancient with a pooter that has IE v.10 :D:rotfl:

    Dead simple beanie. You have your mash (made specially, or even better if you've some left over) mash it together with the seasoned flour (it comes together really easily). You flour your worksurface and roll it out (or pat it out with your hand). If you want to be real fancy, you can use cutters to make rounds or squares, or just cut it with a knife into quarters or something. Put a spot of oil in your frying pan over a medium heat, put the cakes in and fry (gently) until they are golden, flip and repeat.

    The worst bit is waiting until they are cool enough to eat :D

    And if all else fails, you've wasted a potato and a spoonful of flour - 1/2 mixture really isn't a lot.

    Thank you everyone for providing me with such a brill evening. Only trouble is, having watched 2 episodes of borgen I think we're at Saturday night. :(

    Bob - once again, thanks for letting us share in your family's wonderful news :D and, do you know what - you're beginning to sell 'it' to me ;):D

    See y'all in the morning.
