I have flexitime so I can finish earlier on a Friday if I want to make the time up elsewhere. Generally I finish at four rather than five.

It's like a different country up north, we work hard and we play hard.
must all be in factories then :P no one in an office in London has a half day when you are running a business as its a 40 hour week and no flex time

I've had it in most previous jobs, work say 8 - 5 Mon to Thurs and then away at 1 on Friday, It was seen I guess as a bit of a perk when it was very much and employee's market, done away with now thats its very much an employers market, in fact the 40hr week is becoming a thing of the past, its creeping up 43,44,45 hour weeks.

When I worked overseas my last company had "Summer Fridays" where everyone had the option to take either 1/2 day Fridays during July and August, or a full Friday off every fortnight. It was a nice perk!

Currently working 12 hours a day 7 days a week. When I get a job back home I will be begging for a half day finish on a Friday, nothing sets up your weekend like an early finish!!

I work for a LA and we work 8.45am to 5.20pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45am to 4.20pm on Fridays, with an hour for lunch each day

So not a half day, but an early finish on Fridays.
