That seems very unlikely to me. It depends on your company's policies, which you should have a copy of. Surely you need to ask your union rep.

    Just a quick update..

I gave my grievance letter to the other company director this morning, in which I asked if the disciplinary hearing scheduled for today could be postponed pending the grievance outcome. Never thought it would happen, but he agreed to it!!! :T

So another week at work for me at least and also gives me a chance to get witness statements from everyone at work to confirm I told him about the errors, just in case he turns around and he says I never told him!

    So relieved right now :)
Great, however ... don't be too disappointed if some / all of your colleagues are reluctant to give witness statements. You might be OK with any who don't have to have any contact with him, with no opportunity for him to 'attack' them, but any who are in his 'line of fire' / 'chain of command' might not want to put their heads on the block.

Hoping they're also willing to stand up to him, but just saying!

And again, if you have ANYTHING in writing, get it printed off now! Memos, emails, calendar notes etc.
Signature removed for peace of mind

Not bad thanks, I got 2 of 3 witness statements today, the other is still dilly-dallying about doing it, and wants to think about it some more :undecided

Im hoping I wont need to use them anyway and that the grievance on Friday will just be straightforward and quick. The director Im complaining about wont be in the meeting, so that helps not having to slag someone off to their face :p

That IS positive news; excellent! Two statements are better than none! ;)
