The Daily Mail certainly does seem to have a strange policy with regard to readers' comments. I live in Bermuda, so I was interested to see that the Mail had written an article about the looming constitutional crisis that we're seeing here, which originated with the current Premier throwing his toys out of his pram over a corruption investigation instigated by the police against him. I posted a comment - a very restrained and reasoned one, at that - but it hasn't been published. Oh, they're happy to publish snide anti-Blair comments from people living in Kent, Surrey and Middlesex, which have no relevance to the topic at hand, but if you're actually living in the country about which the Mail is writing, they don't want to publish anything you say........0

Why have this reader comment section if you don't care about reader comments?
maybe you should read a quality paper and not a load of tosh in the first place?0 -

I found the article through google news, I was just shocked by the content of the article (what I consider blatent lies) and moved to leave a comment (I've never been urged to before), if I'd known they only show the 100% positive comments I'd not have bothered...The money, Dave...0 -
Exactly what in the article do you object too? Why does it 'shock' you?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

I don't think this is a forum for political views, so this post may well get removed.
But since you asked I find the following statement from the article particularly deplorable:
"Under international law, Israel's occupation is entirely legal"The money, Dave...0 -

IMHO, the problem with the DM is that it takes itself seriously; how many people read it and then quote it verbatum like it is the truth?
My father in law for one! Scary I know, but there are people out there who take this stuff as gospel and are prepared to spout it to equal minded people!0 -
I have left well over 20 comments on the Mail website and NONE have ever been printed..... I think they write them themselves....
